Nice Video-Owned my 2015 JKU less than 12 hours and having water issues already. lol. I am having issues on the driver's side and I am sure that same plug is there on the driver's side. Thanks for the video!
Good video (Could work on the quality though)
20:47 she just predicted her next song 😂😢😅😊 hold on lmaoo ❤ her future song I guess
First.
this worked for me, thank you very much
How are you John? How do you fix over deflocculated slip? Thank you
Add Epsom salt dissolved in warm water. He does this in the video.
Not so useful if we don't know how the glaze effects were achieved... Nice work tho'.
Incidentally, I watch a lot of pottery gatherings in the USA which are featured in hobbyist channels. I ask myself: where are all the brown skinned potters hiding? In the UK hobbyist pottery scene is mostly dominated by middleclass people and one rarely encounters people from a blue collar background. Do you have particular demographics who are attracted to pottery in the USA?
Well done Joe!
good video
Did it work?
So we’re turning shafts now eh?
This is 2022 I am just living am pretty sure am watching dead people but ok
I fixed all door leaks, which took forever to trace where they were coming from, and now I am still finding water on the front drivers side floor board under my rubber mat. I just can't find it.
just did mine - seemed to be a 16 to remove the factory, and a 17 to install the bilsteins oddly enough

My onkyo tx nr 626 has no sound all I can see is earphone icon appears permanently on display screen. What could be the problem
Same with my 2016 JKU. I think that hole should be covered also, under the cowling on the passenger side at 0:30, it was on mine.
Not gonna lie, the Bilstein shock install on the front passenger side of a newer JK is a massive PIA.
Hold the camera still please the jerky movement made me about puke.
Okay I watched your video a few times and I want to make sure that I'm ordering the right tools. You said you used a 16 mm to both uninstall the old one and install the new one. But then you mentioned the old one needed a 15 mm. Can I just buy the 16 mm wrench to uninstall and install the new? This is a great piece of information. Thank you for sharing
You didn’t cover the most difficult part. The shock spindle will turn as you tighten the nut. Comments say to use a pipe wrench - no! There’s an Allen wrench slot on the top. It’s a bitch to get to and I went through the engine compartment but if you have a short Allen wrench it will work. Horrible design
Came here to look for this. What I did was cut down the short side of my Allen wrench so it would fit in there. My '08 passenger is much, much easier to get to than his '12 though.
I don’t know how I landed here but I need that!
What causes the marveling? My slip is staying marbled no matter how long I mix it. Anyone know what I can do? I’m using it for casting slip.
I really wish he would have said what he was putting in instead of saying as this.
Sodium silicate AKA water glass was added to the clay to deflocculate (thin) it. Epson salt was mixed with water, and used to flocculate (thicken) the clay.
Hi Gary and Thanks for the video. on my case when the sound stop to be heard. I also lost the icons of the 5 speakers in the display screen. so when I heat the chip with the heatgun, and the 5 icons of my speaks comes back into the display screen but with no sound.. do you think it the other CARD that needs to be heated the same way ? ( the one with the speaker connectors ) ? any other recommandation please ? because by logic , If the speaker's icons comes back this means that I m supposed to have sound, but it s not the case . Please Help
I just took some wire cutters and chipped away the plastic....exposed the nut.... and used a wrench.
Hello is it necessary to add sodium silicate and what is its role?
It's a deflocculant. It makes the particles of clay separate and flow more liquidly without adding water.
If you bolt the bottom of the shock first then put weight on it you’re able to put the rubber washer and nut on! Just installed both front!
Were you able to do so without trimming?
Didn’t work for me, I had to reuse the old rubber bushings like he did in the video
Sir plz help me my sony str k55sw e12 ...no sound 2 fuse sort
Also that white stuff ... I couldn't hear the same
sounded like "nephsite", which could be nepheline syenite
Neph sye = nepheline syenite
Hi. I tried sodium silicate in my china clay slip but it made it thicker rather than thin.. any explanation?
You added too much.
If you add too much it thickens. You only need a few drops of sodium silicate.
I added as much as always and it thickened also. I add only liquid glass to my slips and there was never a problem, after a year and a half of work with it, it started getting thicker. What am I doing wrong?
very good explaination sir..
I have the same problem. I'm going to use the old rubber on the top.
Hi Gary, I have onkyo tx sr 313 reciver, no sound. Can I use this method for it?
I have the same shocks waiting to be mounted. How did you prevent the shaft from turning when tightening the nut without using the Allen wrench? Did you have to use clamps???
I just installed the same shocks last night on my 09 rubi. To stop the shiny shock rod from turning I used pliers. But make sure you use a towel or something over the pliers so you don’t gouge the shaft. Also I was able to make the new rubber bushing fit just got to fudge with it a bit but once you get the nut started you’re golden
@@rryyaann321 had to use a pipe wrench as well what a horrible design
@@kylewilson8942 yeah bud it sucked, the rears were so much easier
There’s an Allen wrench slot on the top. It’s a bitch to get to and horrible design but I went through the engine bay. Pop out that little clip that holds a few hoses and use a 6” extension. Get creative.
How is the ride on those bilsteins shocks on the street. I currently have Rancho 5000x with no lift and they suck.
my back shocks took like half an hr to do easy on my 2016 wrangler with 3 1/4 lift ,, but the front passenger side is a pain ...and I have done it before ..
why the hell do they make shit like this,, so that its hard to work on …….
Put a heat snk on it
Permanently od temporary?
Honesty.... These vids are pointless, also looked looked like he's been eating his dinner of the amp.No wonder its fucked.!!!!

Thanks. That work for me i done this for a fue Minuts with a hairdrier
Most of these devices crash in the BGA DTS and make reflow work again, but after a while it goes back, I had not seen anyone changing components, I think that here in Brazil some technicians act in bad faith and do this or change the chip or even change, change the capacitors and charge the value of the chip.
I did remove the battery and remove all the bolts and nuts from the battery tray ,then pry the plastic from the bottom enough to get your fingers in there ,only adds 10 minutes of work
fact.
Looks like this is the way to go
I'm surprised when you bought the soldering gun they didn't tell you that you probably should remove the board from the unit before you try to unsolder the chips
For anyone that is wondering. This is still covered under warranty till end of 2018 for free repair. My 2009 TX-NR3007 stopped working after nearly a decade. I had a laptop cooler on top of the unit cooling it the entire time I owned it. I'm actually glad it broke just before the end of the extended service bullion. When I get it back i'm going to open up the cover and put a heatsink on that TI DTS chip, as I guess it gets hot regardless of a FAN cooling the receiver. Hoping for the new HDMI board with the fixed voltage 3.2 vs 3.3 as that was another revision. Putting a headsink on the TI chip is a must, it will keep the receiver going for years and prevent this problem from happening after the repair. The TI chip gets hot on its own, and with no cooling is prone to fail again. A fan moving air out of the receiver will not cool that chip as well as a basic heatsink attached to the chip will. The newer rev of the chip is better about heat, but Onkyo should have used heatsinks from the start on these chips. While you are at it, put one of the video chip as well. It rarely has a problem, but might as well if you got the extra heatsink. It is the only other ASIC on the HDMI board that is attached via solder balls under the chip. Might end up tossing in a couple of fans in my receiver when I get it back, but not sure yet. The Laptop cooler was doing a good job keeping the amp side nice and cool.
