    Only get investor when you're ready to mass produce or reach out to major companies like 3M to license your tech. I think this product is best licensed to major companies that already have logistics, it's also somewhat medical related so that in itself seems like alot of work and money to navigate regulatory wise. It works, you have the reviews and such, license it, then move onto your next project with millions to fund. You can still iterate the product in you're spare time but you won't have to worry about 90% of the other aspects of the business. Good Luck!

    I'm sure have atleast 1 person you know who can help you tag team on these larger events. This way you can handle closing potential sales while they deal with demo/simple questions. one thing I've learned about starting your own business, is that you really can't scale without part-time or full-time help. Are you planning on improving the 3D printed housing? It looks very cheap for a professional product.

    • @noamaiz
      @noamaiz 5 днів тому

      Because it’s 3D printed or because of the design? What I’ve noticed is that the perception that 3D printed = cheap lies within engineers not normal people. Compliance, rattling, weight, etc matter infinitely more

    Add a dab of epoxy where the motor makes contact with the housing. It will transfer all the motion to the pen and not clatter against inside. You can keep the ziptie design and use the zipties to hold the motor in place while the glue or epoxy cures. Good luck

  • @PhilippBlum
    @PhilippBlum 7 днів тому

    Your solution is quite straight forward. But if this doesn't work out, you may need to implement something more complex. Get the MCU into deep sleep and wake it up once a button is pressed. But this is way more complex to implement. So, check first if your I/O indicator is enough. Otherwise you might need to do the hard work.

    Can you turn the whole shape and grind the bevels in later? You should consult with machinist because they will know how optimize the process. It might just require a different stock. It might slightly more expensive but still within your margins.

I did test it and it wasn’t budging at all which is why I thought I’d proceed. Looking into it I think it’s because the holes were already prethreaded so there weren’t as much internal stresses for cracks to propagate. And other thread lockers are sooo god damn expensive but I think I’ll return and settle for the price. Or explore some other options for sure

  • @joe0932
    @joe0932 10 днів тому

    Just a little tip, be careful using "regular" Loctite with plastic - some plastics will get super weak and brittle due to the solvents in it, or something like that. It can be really bad. If you need a Loctite for plastic go for one that explicitly has plastics listed in the materials it can bond, like Loctite 408. (Although I'm not sure if 408 is designed for threads or not though...) Good luck!
