A couple of these LPA members need to be more professional. Cursing from the dias when you don’t get your way should not be tolerated. They are a reflection of the commissioner that appointed them and it shows.

I would like to see a serious effort made to have the County get out of the business of owning water parks and golf courses. The water park especially continues to be a financial drain. The County should try to sell the water park. I would also like to see a financial report for the Marty Buses. I understand that costs have increased but we must also recognize that the citizens who will be paying for this budget have also incurred increases in their own cost of living expenses. I would like to see the veterans of our County be given the same consideration as non-profits are given. The non-profits have fundraisers throughout the year and raise considerable amounts as a result. The veterans on the other hand are the forgotten ones. Last year the non-profits received substantial amounts in the budget and the lack of money given to the veterans was embarrasing and appalling.. We ,as a County, must do a better job in taking care of our veterans. One charity, House A Vet , in Stuart is a worthy charity that should receive funding. Please let me know how I can get a copy of the section in the Budget that details the funding for the Charities/ non-profits.
