Family come first Kevin, take care James 🙂👍
Thank you for the kind words😊
Hang in there mate, totally understandable at this tough time - best wishes to you and your family - I had a tough situation like that last year myself. We will all be here to watch your videos when you are ready. DCC related video would be especially useful to many people on here I am sure, like the idea of short videos on how to do things with DCC.
Thank you for the kind words and brilliant will get to work on some dcc videos then keeping them on the shorter side!
Thank you for the update, may God bless you and your family. I get board just watching trains going round and switch off, with music as well and if it is music I don't like 🤣 Doing videos that explains how to do things, yes. Even if I know the subject, it will be good for someone else, lots of new people to the hobby. Look forward to your next.
Thank you for the kind words and no problems i understand people may not like them people may love them some people loved the quick reviews on the cheap 2nd hand wagons its a fine line i guess between doing content im exited to make but balancing it with whats sensible to make for the hobby. Thank you for the advice as always!
No worries about the absence kev, glad youre ok! Im really sorry to hear about your parent, i know how hard it is, keep on soldiering through and everything will be fine :) cant wait for the big video, take care, jack
Thank you for the kind words as always bud its uploaded and ready to go!!!
Got to look after yourself and family first my friend. I know all about HM7000 as I use it in my TT120 test track, as I've not got a base board to do the layout yet.
Thank you for the kind words and no problems the guy i helped said that the videos would help him and the guys from the shop too so may give them a try and if it helps people who are not so confident may be worth it thank you for the input and if there is anything that can help people out I’m all up for making that content as i want to help people in the hobby as well as hopefully entertain them.
Your video is too long
No problems appreciate the feedback there are a lot of reviews that are a lot longer on just a loco as we are looking at the whole set but thats the beauty of youtube you can skip along to the bits you really want to see! Again thank you for the feedback will keep a eye on the length of videos and Thanks for watching😊
Noticed you didn't show how to fit chip in ???
Thats correct i do this for the reason that i like to show models etc how they come straight out the box un modified as fitting a chip is modifying the base model i do have a hm7000 21 pin chip and speaker more than happy to show how to fit if you wish or if it would help! Thanks for watching😊
Got my train last wk no power to motor ,lights ok tried out before fitting dcc chip ,forward lights not coming on any help please for my nova
Do you have a dc layout or full dcc this set has a chip in both front and rear cars not sure if it requires both for lights to work properly as it has no electric connection from the first to last car unlike a dmu for example would need to research to find out also if you have a dc track did you try on that to see if the motor worked too?
I still reckon a plastic pantograph at this price is absurd.
I do understand what you mean a sprung pantograph would set it off nicely to with the rest of the amazing detail. Thanks for watching😊
Hi heard of a Class 800, but I didn't know what it was, thank you I now know. Great video.
Your welcome glad the video helped and that you enjoyed it and for the kind words Thanks for watching!😊
Finally, I've managed to catch up with your videos. That's a great looking model. It's a very nice addition to your fleet, kevin...cheers James 🙂👍
Haha thank you and yes its a gorgeous modern addition well worth the wait glad you enjoyed the video and Thanks for watching😊
It's a nice video explaining how to add the details...cheers James 🙂👍
Nice wagon, just wait until you have a collection of them...cheers James 🙂👍
🤣🤣🤣 The Life of Trains made me smile, Kevin 😂😁👍
Haha thank you so much i have a few more ideas just for some fun videos to make light of the hobby a little less serious and to have a laugh if it did that then fantastic😊 thank you and Thanks for watching!😊
Oh. My. Gosh. That's incredible! What a wealth of detail, a ton of features and the livery, well, need I say more?! Awesome video kev, I'm so pleased for you getting this loco pack! Talking of getting locos, just bagged myself a bargain, a 20 quid more or less brand new hornby large prairie with motor issues - retails for about 170 quid, so if I cannfix rhe motor, I've saved 150 quid! 😂😂
Thank you for the kind words as always and made up you enjoyed the video! Was definitely worth the wait in getting love this train so much hope more work on my own layout soon and will look fantastic sat in the station next to the pendolino and woah thats a awesome find😱!!!!!!! Especially if its just wanting a new motor well done bud will look forward to seeing it fixed and running on your layout! Thanks for watching 😊
@Themodelrailer well, quick update, removed the dcc board and hardwired the pickups to the motor - runs like a dream!
@ omg thats amazing!!!!!!! Fantstic what a find!!!!
@@Themodelrailer yeah, I uploaded a short of it running, probably one of my best locos!
@jackstrains4468 will have a look now!
Well after listening to your review I ordered one today. When all said for the price nothing beats it!!! Maybe it IS a Lima body?...don't know. Ok so its basic with detail but there is an advantage to that. I have a woderfully detailed diesel from scale trains ( Rivetcounters) highly detailed and runs perfect but I have to be so careful handling the thing. The plastic railings are so delicate as is all the other detail. Hornby ( sparse detail) grab it and play with it!!! When its running you cannot notice anyway. Bit like a highly detailed mode plane. Hornby is like Marmite. People love them, people hate them. Have you tried the new Hornby Marmite Class?
Amazing so glad i was able to help out hope you have many years of enjoyment running it around! and yes thats exactly the reason for getting locos like this absolutely love mine and pulls everything i need it too will definitely be trying the marmite class again😂again thank you and so glad i was able to help let me know how you get on with it when it arrives and Thanks for watching😊
Nice video! One thing I would say is that your intro is a bit long, I would suggest narrating over the footage, so we can still see the action and hear you talking
Ok sounds good thank you for the advice and thanks for watching😊
Met you in the shop today, have subscribed Hello there!
Hi there! was good to talk to you thank you so much for subscribing! Will sub back to you glad you had a good time at the shop hope to see you there again! Thanks for watching😊
I got some scenic items and a tender drive LNER A3 Humourist. With Amazon gift card I got stuff for HM7000 for a TT120 layout in the future.
Oooooooo very nice!!!!!! Will it be a seperate tt latout or built in and around 00? Thanks for watching😊
@Themodelrailer separate layout. And it be a roundy roundy one. Unlike my 00 which is like a shunting board with lots of points haha. To run in locos I use the hornby rolling road
@PNMotorsportGamesAndTrains awesome thats also a brilliant idea with the rolling road! Have you ever had any issues with any locos jumping off while running in or is it nice and stable?
@Themodelrailer get the odd wobble but none have gone off yet
Thanks for the video Kev, very informative 😀🚂🚂
Thank you for the kind words and glad you enjoyed the video i did think i waffled on a bit too much sometimes 😂 but if you enjoyed it and wasn’t too boring then wonderful! Thanks for watching😊
Really helpful video, only problem is that the brake rig on mallard is supposed to connect to the actual loco and when i read the instructions, theres supposed to be a hole to clip it into, spoiler alert, there isnt. Thanks a lot hornby, your instructions are unclear and are 0 help. Still a great video and im so thankful you were able to put this together
I still haven’t been able to find the detail pack and instructions have been looking the whole weekend for them lol im glad you enjoyed the video and more than happy to help with anything i can. I would like to ask though if you have instagram i do have a page and more than happy if you wish to contact and share pictures etc will see if i can help you out more with the issue but will still look for the ones i cant find if i do will do a specific video about it for you. Thanks for watching😊
@Themodelrailer I don't but I could set one up
@ there are a lot of good channels and enthusiasts on there but it is entirely up to you please dont feel pressured to do so in any way but i will aways do what i can to help people out
Great video kev, I haven't watched the whole video yet, but that looks great! I live fitting the detail packs, they really elevate a loco! Awesome stuff as always mate, glad to see another video from you!
Thank you for the kind words as always and with you saying that maybe its worth fitting some detail parts to the locos i have save them just going to waste as the ones on my gwr dmu do look awesome! Thanks for watching😊
Hello, I wonder if I could ask you about something I spotted when watching your 47 video. Roundabout 12.20 runtime we see you working with some kind of hand controller. Is this something on your phone or tablet or is actually a controller? I scoured your video listing before posting this question and didn’t come across the piece of kit I’m interested in. But if you have covered it, sorry for asking you to repeat yourself! Thanks
Of course and no problems at all it is t a controller its the hornby hm dcc app which you download onto your phone or smart device to control the train no need to apologise for any question always happy to help😊 Thanks for watching😊
Do you think you could make a tutorial on how to add the pieces in the spare parts bag, got this for christmas and been struggling so hard to get the extra pieces on Yes im aware im a year late.
Its never too late at all 😊 i Will check to make sure i still have them as haven’t got them fitted to all of my models and if i do then of course i will and a fantastic set to be gifted!! Thanks for watching! 😊
@Themodelrailer absolute legend, new subscriber! :)
Awesome Thank you so much!!!!! If i can do something to help out they arnt with the model so will have to check my box of spares as don’t normally throw things like that out if for any reason i cant find them will fitting a detail pack from a mew loco still help you?
@@Themodelrailer as long as fitting a front coupling, brake rig and vacuum pump I think its called? Is included,Then it should do yeah
@ ok no problems at all i can sort that for you! Thinking about it most detail packs for steam locos do have very similar parts i that will be included and like you mentioned the important parts like the extra couplings will get on it and have it ready for the 1st video of the new year!
Nice peace of rolling stock right there
Gorgeous piece definitely would get some more
Happy christmas🎉❤
Thank you happy christmas to you all too!
HA HA brilliant kev
😂 thank you glad it gave you a giggle!
🤣😂🤣How ever did you get David to do this for you? Love it, well done.
Haha thank you i did say i had some ideas to make the hobby a little more light hearted intentions were in the right way hope it gave everyone a giggle😊
At this point, sack sir David Attenborough from the BBC, we need you to present the nature documentaries! Great stuff kev, and merry christmas to you :)
Haha never he is a absolute legend of narration but on the other side maybe i should send a cv in to the bbc would be a dream to do even half of what he has achieved
Great Attenborough impression
Haha thank you thought my disguise was immaculate
Merry christmas kev, have a good one, and happy new year too! Random question - are you hoping for any locos for christmas? ( I'm hoping for an accurascale 66 freightliner!) 🎄🌲🎁
Merry christmas to you too bud there are a few i would love but haven’t asked for any however if santa would like to bring me the TPE nova set i wouldnt say no😂😂 and great choice the 66 is a fantastic model and accurascale go next level with their detailing!
happy holiday,s u too mate the tracks fro the 7 1/4 inch trains are arived wil make short video of it to show it so we can go to the next step in new year see ya soon
Thank you and happy holidays to you too!

This train looks amazing.
Thank you definatley is a fantastic runner and a great set to get started with! Thanks for watching😊
@Themodelrailer Yeah no problem, That model train is a beauty.
Thank you for the tour, shows how much I'm missing and the amount you could spend. Little funny moment, you know that you sometimes call British Telephone Boxes as Post Boxes 🤣. Well my wife and I were walking in our local town in France, when she says 'Look a Post Box' 🤣😂, it was a British Telephone Box. Thought you would enjoy that 😂
Your welcome and ohhhh yes you could quite easily spend a lot and hahahaha thats brilliant hope it gave you a little chuckle. ive never been able to look at a phone box post box the same since 😂😂😂 .Thanks for watching😊
Great Video, New Sub! Also, what was that music in the intro?
Thank you so much!!! Its just the intro music i chose from where i edit the videos nothing fancy was catchy and kept going back to it! Thanks for watching😊
@Themodelrailer np and thanks.
@teamboo1104 your welcome😊
@@Themodelrailer 🙂.
Lools epic kev, those lights are splendid! Sorry for the late comment, but things have taken over in terms of school! Awesome video as always mate
Thank you and no worries at all real life always comes first bud Thanks for watching😊
Great video 👍 Another advantage: you can remove the track without damaging it. You can also use roofing felt or ballast mat.
Thank you and exactly especially if its your first layout and you may want to change things felt and ballast mat are other fantastic ways to go about it if as you can cover a large area quickly too! Thanks for watching😊
That's a nice-looking fire engine, made even better by the addition of the lights. I believe (but I could be wrong)that Oxford Diecast makes some of the Atlas Editions models, as they have models made by various other companies... Cheers James 🙂👍
Awesome looking fire engine and thank you took a while for the lights but realy made up with how they turned out and ahhhh will have more of a look into that see what else they do! Thanks for watching😊
Hi, I liked this video today and quite a nice truck aswell

Nice update, it's looking good. We're working on the Dylington Christmas scene at the moment, along with Dylan doing work to his 009-layout...cheers James 🙂👍
Thank you and cant wait for your christmas video always love how you put them together and his 009 layout is amazing really talented! Thank for watching😊

Looking good, its nice to see a layout taking shape. Keep up the great work.
