The bagpipe is a very historic one and may have been played by a piper at the battle. Subsequently, they were hidden in the stones of a fireplace in a house in Tain before being sold to a US collector. The pipes were acquired by a couple in...

So beautiful and powerful. These are the same sounds I heard in Ethiopia at funerals. 💛 there’s a universal soul language of grief.
I have just bought a set of the high resonnese reed but cannot get them to completely shut off and hold air in the bag. What is the solution?
Sounds like a chanter, unlike the “piccolo “ sound from current pipe bands……
I heard this for the first time yesterday when I played a pipes CD I got from the library. I am now teaching myself this lovely tune.
I love my hr reeds in my duncan macrae pipes. Thanks Bruce! What chanter are you playing?
Dang, that was solid.
Enthralling !
Spectacular backdrops and a cosy bothy. You chose your locations well!

Hi I'm going to be getting the newer ones with the best sound, but would like to ask if I wd still need a moisture control system? I just have the basic red end cap at the end of a tube I got with my canmore bag just now. If I did need to get one which I think I may would a simple bottle one suffice if the drone reeds are protected from moisture? Thanks in advance.
Jamie, yes is the short answer. I play Bruce's moisture tube. It is very effective. Simply but effective. Yours sound like the ssame one I have so stick with it. I'd advise throwing the bottle away. Stick with the little tube with th eholes and the cloth inside it. Simple but VERY effective. (The bottle attracts moisture rather than minimises it).
@@stuartletford4349 brilliant! Thanks a million for getting back to me so quickly, I'll do that then for sure, happy piping brother ☮❤🎵
This is awesome!
Have had these reeds for almost two years now and had no problems from them at all. Plug and Play is the right way to describe them.
Beautiful tune, I enjoyed it very much. What were the other tunes in your set?
I had the pleasure of learning this in this style from Allan at Ceòlas this year. Amazing.
Gud job, Bruce, every pupil of mine play your balance tone reeds Jean Michel
What a great rendition of When the Battle's Over, imparting a sense of feeling and emotion. Thank You
