Watch Me Get Schooled at My Own Cyberpunk Card Game!
In my opinion which is of course is right lol once it goes to another galaxy it's not cyberpunk. Bladerunner the short novel written in 1980 started the genre, so if it's not like the OG that coined the phrase than it's not cyberpunk. Cowboy Bebop is a bland of multiple genres lol and that's from the creater himself. Shinichirō Watanabe described the series as "a new genre unto itself" and a "genre-busting space Western". It's a hybrid of many genres, including westerns, pulp fiction, cyberpunk, and noir. Have fun with that realization.
B
This actually rocks.
C looks the best
The whole.video is black for me for some reason, only.yhe thimbnail has images.
I'm a haste enjoyer, so.yeah, I like this. Summon sickness has a place in MTG but I feel most card games replicate it just because it's the standard people are used to. Also, I disagree with most comments here, everyone knows MTG rules and it's much easier to explain comparing to a game people already know. Most large publishers avoid direct.comparison but player will just be "oh like mtg, oh like this other game". Easier just said.
So, Silverhand faction. Not my personal jam, I prefer them heavy weapons cyborgs... but Xavier looks REAL cool, I also like zen archmate style runners.
Legend has it that the brainshredder has unraveled the lesser minds who habe tried to master it...
I damn wish i was social enough to play magic at a mosh pit that sounds so cool
Right?! It sounds like so much fun!
B looks the best, but damn the font doesnt look good. Should be thicker imo.
Gotcha! Which parts of the card does the font seem too thin to you?
C
Thanks for the feedback! That’s really helpful!
I'm thinking B but the others look awesome too.
Yeah, they all have cool aspects to them! It’s hard to choose! What made you choose B?
@@neuroscape I like the tighter diagonal scanline like effect in the foil, it stands out I think. I'd love a direct side-by-side to compare them better.
Bee
🐝 😂 Thanks for the reply! That’s really helpful!
Ever since seeing the neosec firestorm this is the faction I’m most excited for.
Hell yeah! We’re big fans as well!
i think c is really unique, it looks like it has a matte finish in some areas.
Good eye! Thanks for the feedback! That’s really helpful!
B looks cool! But the other could be the reverse foil treatment or something like that
Oh yeah! That’s a cool idea! That could be really fun!
B. I couldn’t tell if the A and C had a foil logo on the bottom right of the image, but you emphasized that on B and I though it was cool
Gotcha! That makes sense! I think A and B both had that, but B shows it more clearly in this video!
B feels like the best!
Thanks for letting us know! That’s super valuable feedback!
B and C
Thanks! What makes those your favorites?
@neuroscape it seems that those are textured. I enjoy the textured foiled prints in mtg and they can get very creative with them.
B!
Thank you! What makes that one stand out!
B
Thanks for the feedback! What makes that one stand out to you?
@neuroscape i like the texture foiling around the image that really makes the foiling and the image pop.
A
Thanks for the feedback! What makes A your favorite?
they all look very alike, please keep it consistent and maybe try to stay to 3 treatments at most for the super rares and mythic , foil full art foil and collector treatment (serialized or different art or border etc)
This is great feedback! Thank you! We’re definitely planning on a fairly consistent holofoil style across the whole game. We’re planning on having around 2 or 3 different holofoil variations in this first set!
Hyped 🎉🎉🎉

Can confirm, our hoodies are SUPER comfortable!
🔥🤘🔥
Dude it's crazy how danish you pronounced my first/last name, if I didn't knew better I would think you were a Dane, R3D
haha. I am not but I might have some in my family tree ;)
@@letoxicavenger that would explain a lot 😂
March seems so far away 😢 i will support you guys so hopefully you can ship intl. I’m from Chile, South America and i love every bit of info that you guys share so would love to match that excitement with opening packs and playing with my friends.
That’s so awesome to hear! We definitely want to ship to as many countries as we possibly can for the Kickstarter! We’re still working with our shipping and fulfillment partner to figure out all the details, but I think we should be able to ship to Chile!
Good to hear then, i have been following your project since the 'akira logo', a while back haha so it could be great to have physical cards on my hands.
That’s the dumbest idea for a card game. Scratching the card to see if you hit?😂
It was definitely a strange idea at best. Like I have to give them points for originality, but it’s not a very practical design.
Hex for sure. Those look really good.
Thank you! We were really happy with how that one came out!
Same Steve Jackson that was part of the early days of Games Workshop and the Warhammer universes?
One in the same! He was a huge figure in the tabletop gaming world!
Mazika party also has a scratch off mechanic. It reveals one use abilities of their cards.
Oh interesting! I’ve never heard of Mazika before! When did it come out? Have you played it?
This would be interesting in a digital card game. I wonder how it’d do then?
That’s actually a really interesting point! This mechanic has some serious limitations in a physical form that wouldn’t really be a problem in a digital format. It would be really interesting to see how a similar approach would do now!
I had these!
That’s awesome! How were they to play games with? Did you ever get the Emperor of Vangoria?
So you can only play a card once then? Can't imagine why this didn't take off.
Yeah, the scratch and reveal mechanics of the game was definitely pretty flawed, but interesting nonetheless
Imagining if this game kept going, and it was discovered that the amount of wound counters was random on each individual printing of the card, and then maybe you could figure this out by weighing the card. The resell market would be intense!
Ok that’s actually fascinating to think about! People would be weighing cards out of booster packs to try to build the ultimate deck, but they could only use it once! That would be Wild!
To be fair, implicitly giving a limited lifespan to your product is pretty likely to harm its longevity. This is thoroughly unsurprising, though still interesting.
Yeah, 100% the entire idea of using scratch and reveal as a mechanic was pretty flawed from the beginning. But it’s also kind of fascinating and I have to respect them for trying something so out there.
I thought about it and was like "Simply making the spots covered by tokens would fix the problem" but no it wouldn't because then your opponent could just memorize where the wounds were on each character, unless they were random but then that would be even harder to produce. Just wasn't a mtg level idea
@@bardock3601 Would be an interesting idea if the weak points of your creatures were able to be set by the player at the start of the game battleship style.
This could work on a digital client.
@@bardock3601hmm. If the the wounds were on the inverse of side of the counter, you could maybe do that. Each card has a number of how many wounds and spots it has.
Wen Neuroscape scratch and hack cards?
We can neither confirm nor deny the development of scratch and hack Neuroscape cards…
What about the actual Netrunner TCG? The original is actually set in the Cyberpunk universe
Netrunner is a cool game and totally set in a cyberpunk universe! It’s a very different game than what we’re making. It’s an asymmetrical living card game which is much more focused on programs and hardware and less on characters and battles.
@@neuroscape how far into the overall creation process are you? i'm always interested in a new TCG, if you're looking for testers
Post a round of some fun gameplay!
MAKE A MOBILE APP!!
We’re planning on it! One of our first goals after our launch of the physical cards on Kickstarter is to start development on a standalone app for PC, iOS, and Android!
I can’t read the name lol but interested i am
It’s called Neuroscape! Here’s a link to our website! You can find more info there! www.neuroscapetcg.com/
Looks pretty cool
Thank you! We’ve been having a blast making it! If you want to learn more you can check out our pre-launch page or our website! www.kickstarter.com/projects/neuroscapetcg/neuroscape-a-cyberpunk-tcg www.neuroscapetcg.com/
I too love shiny pieces of cardboard!
I dom't know the game mechanics, so no idea. That said, I'm a "monster" dude, so Neosec Firestorm attracts me more on theme alone.
The Firestorm is one of our best cards in the Corpo faction! We have six primary factions in this first set. Hackers, Cybernetics, Corpos, Dustrunners, Mystics, and Thrashers! They all have their own visual style and unique play style! If you want to learn more you can check out our website! www.neuroscapetcg.com/
I'd be interested in pulling a textured jeweled lotus, which I didn't see in there.
Hey, anything possible if you set your mind to it!
😂
Hmmm Interesting.

@@neuroscapeI'm not very into card games but I love cyberpunk stuff. These cards look sick though so I am interested.
this is actually so cool I’ve been wanting cyberpunk/sci-fi trading cards for so long.
Hell yeah! We’ve been waiting for one for a really long time now too, that’s why we decided to make one! You can follow our Kickstarter pre-launch page or join our Discord if you want to stay updated on the launch! There are links on our bio page!
can you believe it guys? neuroscape, just four months away. neuroscape is in four months! woohoo! i am so happy about this information. neuroscape! just four months away, oh wow. can you believe it? neuroscape! just in four months! it got here so fast! neuroscape! just four months away!
I know right?! It’s kind of crazy to think we’re so close!
Man wait your first set is 255? That’s impressive for an indie tcg. Also so glad you guys are doing real artists.
Amazing. i love this community
We do too! Thanks for being a part of it!
