Easiest way to fight most of these baddies is to turtle up by dropping a hearth inside a tunnel and build multiple layers of granite walls leaving enough room to spam crossbow bolts through the gaps. That Watcher is super easy to kill...just use a cross bow on the four red eyes.

Drakes and trolls have super long wind ups. Very easy to dodge them. Effortless actually. Just hit hit hit roll. Works 99% of the time everytime.

Good tips all around, although the boss enemies mostly have a sorta-gimmick kill as well, such as the Watcher or the King. There are context clues in each fight to give natural tips to clever players who pay attention, in these cases :)

another tip if you dont want to use the torch for that precious single mastercraft slot you can use the cosmetics system and use the miners hat ANYTIME so now you can stop spamming torches to get a lil bit of light while your mining with your trusty pick.

Started playing the game a couple weeks ago. Looked for some relatively not-OP mods to make life a touch easier(solo player only) but sadly it seems the vast majority of mods for RoM are out-dated and don't actually work. For new players that enjoy using mods in games, best of luck with this one folks.

Watcher not so hard. I couldn't scratch it with bows, so I went to find the crossbow. It died literally from 4 crossbow hit. Troll king same. Just dodge him, and when he hit a wall, just crossbow him. It was easier than I expected.

The Dragon is deceptively easy. Put the four pillars surrounding it between you and the Dragon. Destroy each pillar. Sunlight. Bright light, bright light! Blinds the Dragon, move in close and spear that sucker.

When cooking food Single Player. Wait until 5secs on cook time and log out and back in. The food can be collected to your inventory, stored in chests and wont spoil. This makes the benefits they give for meal bonuses much more useful.

ore frenzy makes your pickaxe swings not take stamina, does not make your mining more powerful (to my knowledge) Bonus Tip, I could be wrong about this but I'm pretty sure once you break ALL of the orc spawners (the flags that hold the orcish keys) the sound you make no longer has an affect in the area (just a theory It could also be when you move onto the next zone, these are both just my theories and I need to move onto the next zone to test it out)

coming back here from part 4, already do all of these, but good tips non the less (minus the wall torches I just used the master craft torch (my favorite) until I started using quarry master recently (which has been super satisfying but now I am torn between them) which I used the head lamp with (the mining helm) )

I just started, but as long as the chests or pallets are in your base (the same Hearth) your stations will draw rsses from said chests and pallets, dont necessarily HAVE to be nearby or right next to where you're crafting, all that does is help you keep track of where you're stuff is at, but if it doesnt work for you organizationally, theres no reason to lock yourself to it EDIT: finished the video, the rest of the tips are awesome even if the last one is subjective for ascetics (though I agree with you and do the same) also I love your base and its where I was planning on making my own base next (rn I just took a house at the bottom of Moria, and built off of that, its nice and pretty, but its starting to get... crowded, and I was decided between which of the two (that I have unlocked, as I only started this game 2 days ago) great forges to build in, I love the look of elven structures but the belegost great forge was closer to my work, either that or because I'm about to ascend to the next area (all I need to do is find the library and I have the entire area explored except for one branch off path, so I'm pretty much there) I already have the black diamonds and all that to move on even, so I was thinking of waiting until I unlocked the 3rd forge, or even Durins tomb, just cause its really pretty and there's some kind of Durin Magics that keep the orcs out, no idea if that'll keep raids or anything out, but at the very least we probably wouldn't have any patrols but your base has inspired me that I should go with my gut, or maybe not, I'm still not quite sure, I've rambled on a LOT, sorry about that, I just wanted to say I really liked your base Edit 1.5: I also considered the great drain area, but this is a little Edit 2: forgot to mention this, but I'm pretty sure you CAN go to bed so long as the hunger bar isn't 100% bottomed out, now I could be wrong about this, but I'm fairly certain you can go to bed until you get the "starving" effect, which is when you start taking damage (again I am not 100% sure on that information) Edit 3: just returned here, from watching all the other parts, and me and my brother figured out most if not all of that on our own, see you on the advanced tips Edit 4: just remembered a tip for you, I don't know about later in the game, but in the lower depths (following the pilgrimage path to Durins tomb, there is an orc encampment there, well orcs on this level have a small chance to drop black diamonds, so what me and my brother did was we set up a small fortress next to the orc town and left the flags (the orc spawners) in tact and have been using those orcs to farm black diamonds, you can get like 7 in a full run if you're lucky (maybe more maybe less, we've only done a few runs of the camp) the only thing to be weary of is accidently breaking the flags, as long as you have at least 1 flag though you should be fine, but it may just be a little slower (also maybe a little easier) so adjust the flags to your and your parties level and be careful. Another thing is that you can take your pickaxe to the orc chests and break them for everything they have inside though it may take a little bit longer than breaking the flags, having a farmable orc spot like this can be really helpful. you can also do the same to spider spawners for natural fibers, though I feel like you dont need this nearly as much and have not done this myself as I havent really found a need for it. Edit 4.5: its about 0-5 black diamonds per flag roughly Edit 5: another good tip for people would be to make sure to build the lore-shelves (even if you dont have very many) and to fill them out Edit 6: I was wondering how the treasure hoards actually worked? got the last and largest pile of money and maxxed out its storage on gemstones and its still the lowest tier "Hoard-fierce" but I think I remember there being a hoard of gold that gave me a larger bonus out in the world "Hoard-wrath" I think, so I'm not really sure how that works, any insight on the specifics would be nice, thank you in advance

When fighting the troll king, build a lamp of durin in the room and when he goes near it he will be staggered. It also staggers him when he fires up his shadow magic. Just don't let him destroy the lamp, and you can take advantage of a stagger every few strikes.

Perfect Adversary Guide !

To save base floor space build each desired pallet with a large chest in front of it. Fill the pallet first, then the chest. The chest can hold multiple pallets worth of crafting materials so your base isn’t so cluttered. Also, pro-tip. This is one of those games best shared with a buddy. Solo is cool, but it truly shines when you discover it with a friend.

You can place 8 items on the roasting pit and run them until about 2 seconds left, leave the world, log back in and they will be done sitting on the pit not on the table where they can be picked up and stored for later consumption. I never cook unless it's 8 at a time. You may have to shorten the time to a second or less depending on your computer speed and items needing to be rendered. Just make sure the dinner bell doesn't ding or you waited too long.
