Ah, no trolls today. I'm glad you chose an industrial place, they are where I would recommend as they are far more interesting and quirky than those on the tourist trail. Read up on them first because the attractions are not always obvious. A particular favourite of mine, if you like tunnels, fortifications and cliffs, is Dover. Hunt out the pub where channel swimmers have autographed the walls, eat a Dover sole (there's a nice little restaurant near that pub) and find the ear on the east cliff. I like your wide eyed and innocent presentation, don't change it. Read up on the legend of the red and white dragons. Interestingly the red dragon of Britain beat the white dragon of the English. Perhaps there is some truth in it, I think the civilised British probably assimilated us savage Anglo-Saxons (though not our language) as we assimilated the conquering Norman French.

It is only in London that double-decker buses are red. Here in Liverpool they are green and white.

I live in the Lake District, and have been here all my life. I've been to London just a couple of times. The thought of going to London would make me feel ill.....

Born and lived there early in life, I think most people skip Swansea and head straight to the Gower coast. Like a lot of UK cities it has declined a bit in recent years. The marina is nice for a reasonable meal at least. Some nice smaller castles. In South Wales, For later in Spring, I’d recommend stopping off at Crickhowell near Abergavenny, and getting there by train is definitely more comfortable, even if it costs a little more. The Welsh dragon flag is relatively new (though various Welsh princes used Dragon flags). It comes from the legend of a red dragon fighting a white dragon and winning.

"What other places should I visit in the UK?" - Newcastle (upon Tyne); not on everyone's tourist itinerary, but certainly if you're into architecture. And the people are - well, _different_ to those of London.

Looking forward to the Swansea one. I’m interested to see whether you show the seafront with the cafés, restaurants and museums and the nearby public parks, student areas like Uplands and the nearby countryside and coastal path in the Gower or opt for the less pretty grey concrete areas of North Swansea - judging by this video of London I suspect it will only be the nicer parts that you film.

Loved that you noticed Little Ben, you would be amazed how many people walk past it without noticing, and yes it is a replica of the Elizabeth Tower or Big Ben as it is often referred to. I don't think I ever heard it chime (little ben that is), assume it must do.
