Great question! To capture the bike sound without wind noise, I use a DJI MIC . I place it in my Tank bag to minimize interference.

The key to riding in the wet is to be smooth like you say. It helps you brush up your smoothness. Mind you I still trail brake/hit the brakes mid corner in the wet, just a lot more carefully.

I´m the complete opposite. Me trying hard to push my tires and find a limit for them on wet roads. Only riding on touring rubber like the Metzeler Roadtec01SE. With a few days of riding in the rain, you get very comfortable and impressed, by how far you can go and how much fun it can be. Low temps below 10°C and heavy rain are no problem, but your brain and expectations don't allow you to lean your bike. Feels like Arachnophobia. Once you touched a spider, it goes away. ;)
