The Moody Blues The Other Side Of Red Rocks
R.I.P. Graeme Edge (1941 - 2021). Ray Thomas (1941-2018) Gone but not forgotten. Thanks for the music.
Never seen this documentary before. Thanks for posting. Awesome to see behind the scenes . Loved seeing John playing acoustic guitar. Nice to see the Moodies families. Ray and his son both so handsome. Beautiful Doremy. Great stuff gents. Love you Moodies ❤🎵🎵🎶🎶🎸🎸🎤🎤🎶🎶🎵🎵🎸🎸🎹🎹🎼🎼
Thank you so much for posting this. A must see for every Moody's fan!
I was running down the UA-cam rabbit hole , and I found THIS! How amazing! I've loved the Moodies since 'Days' came out. I did not know they did not play with an Orchestra in all that time. The behind the scenes info was fascinating. Thank you!
❤
This documentary was so amazing and so was the music! Thank you for sharing it with everyone of us!
Nobody knows where a song comes from. It comes from no body.Vak; Omkara ओंकार ; Om ॐ
I was there too. It was glorious.
The Moody Blues work well together. Without that cooperation they couldn’t stay together. They’re good people.
@rmoore1686 They had a particular Magic together..... that worked! I heard Graeme Edge say that , while they were playing , he heard "that SOUND." And no one else could possibly produce "that SOUND."
What a wonderful video.Thoroughly enjoyed it
Sound on my end is very poor. Not worth watching.
What a great video...loved it...thanks🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I had the VHS (yes I said VHS) of this and watched it so many times that the tape broke. I was heartbroken and was looking for the DVD when I came upon it here. Fantastic and now I can watch it many times again. I saw the Moody Blues many times in concert, with and without a symphony orchestra, and loved them since the beginning. Thank you SO much for posting this!
I’m glad it worked out for you. I’ve been watching this video for several years.
I had 2 VHS tapes and wore them out. LOL
It's beyond belief really. The work in re writing the recording we all are glued to. Exactly how it was decades ago. Done by the Colorado Symphony. I heard them. It was gorgeous. The Symphony was spot on. This was a true show! Along with the many other performances by the moody blues.
I have NOTHING but R E S P E C T for this magnificent group of musicians. 🎉❤
Phenomenal performance! AWESOME!!!!!! ❤
The, Moody Blues - would N E V E R - this Orchestra this down. Edit: The MD wouild never insult.
C O L O R A D O Symphony. _ove from Portland, Oregpn.
Cool, thanks for posting
Love this documentary of how Redrocks legendary concert by the Moody Blues was put together behind the scenes stuff, general chat and anecdotes about the show the songwriting the ins and outs the collaboration with the orchestra, wonderful stuff about the best outdoor rock show ever 💙🎸🎶🎵🎶
Never seen this. Loved the actual concert but this is fascinating.
My favourite group and loved this concert.
I was there. The night it was filmed for PBS. 7th row, center. Was captured in a few of the crowd shots. From sitting on the steps outside, hearing them warm up with the orchestra, to the very last note, it was a night, I will never forget. This is great, to see/hear the changes in songs, and arrangements, from the other show. What a joy. I'm 68, and a life long musician. The Moodies, have been one of the biggest influences in my own music. Thank you, MOODY BLUES, for all of the years, and all of the music!
My boyfriend and I did watch it on TV.❤️👍. Still enjoy the whole concert
That I can picture...7th row, center...but the actual feeling of being there! Cannot be truly felt, 29:01 as those souls who were actually there. I can only Imagine!!
Thanks for sharing. It must have been enchanting to be there!
What a great comment. I was 9 in 1969 and I remember thinking about them when my social studies teacher would breathe on me with his bad breath. You're blessed to havseen that whole band b4 Ray and Graham passed away.
Irish that Justin and John would do another concert together. I don't know why they went their separate ways but I'm sure another people feel the same way.
I loaned this to a professor at RIT and never got it back
Yea, some prof.!! HuH!! 🙄
Great documentary, thank you! 🙏🏼
I adore the Moody Blues and so wish I had been able to be in their presence in my life.

THANK YOU for putting this on UA-cam! I’m in the U.S. and I purchased this dvd not realizing it wouldn’t play on our dvd players here. It’s such a joy finally to watch it! Been a Moody Blues fan since the ‘60’s! 💙💙💙
