It’s been a successful two years for the beavers, with our previously single beavers pairing up and raising three kits. In this recent video, you can see them wrestling and bonding by touching noses. This indicates that are still a pair and may breed again next year!

So cute. Yesterday, I rescued one. It suffered from a heatstroke and I brought it to the wildlife sanctuary.
They remind me of hummingbirds
Is Twin Lambs, a boy or girl⁉️
This reminds me of A Christmas Romance (1994)
It's up to NGO's and individuals to protect and enhance our natural world, our sleazy Government has little interest .
I want
An excellent and informative video. Well presented too!
I live not to far from here in forest town. I would love to find a snake or two there. Do Adders really live there???

Hi sir grt work
I have visited Mansey Common, which is a lovely piece of unspoilt countryside. You can pass over The Dumble by a wooden footbridge and get to Eakring. Parked my car in Winkburn and walked via Roewood Lane, Robin Hood's Way, Dukes Wood, returning via Dilliner Wood, Holywell Farm (sadly now derelict), and Roewood Lane again. A wonderful 6 mile walk.
Can you provide hou to build sand Martin wall
Very good job sir
Too cute
So glad to have find this talks .

Would anyone know the location of the house at 1:36 because me and my friend live very close to the lakes and usually go an explore the woodland on our bikes but we’ve never been there and it would be really fun to explore the house on a weekend.
Need to get my rifle out sort these pets out
Sadly, it's now being grossly mismanaged. A huge section has been destroyed for money. They claim it was done for safety due to ash die back, but have been caught felling 1000s of trees and dragging them out through the rest of the woodland to be sold as firewood in Chesterfield. 3 species of deer now no longer have their habitat. When challenged on this, 2 Notts WILDLIFE trust employees rolled their eyes. They don't care about wildlife!
That so nice to see. I remember seeing them in the late 70s down there when we were kids. It was waste land then
Excellent video
The section where George talks about the terrestrial and aquatic megafauna is so immersive and vivid
Nice video, Like n.3 and Greetings from Italy :)
Attenborough has been a resounding success, maybe you can help Berry Hill Park?
www.change.org/Please-Stop-the-Proposed-Building-in-Front-of-Berry-Hill-Hall-facing-Berry-Hill-Park-Petition Hello Notts Wildlife Trust, I'm trying to help the conservation of Berry Hill Park, Mansfield, it seems to attract more than its fair share of speculative development for profit and ideally should enjoy full conservation status, anyway I posted my petition and would appreciate any help, kind regards, Robert
Hello, this area is a few minutes walk from my home. I was wondering if there are any species of fish in there? I figured there could be, because of the herons and kingfishers, but they don't necessarily feed off of fish. Are there fish in there?
Thank you to all who made this video. I cannot tell you how much it means to me to finally know what some of the trees, floral and other botanical species, birds, butterflies, and insects are in Clifton Woods. I am a direct descendent of the Clifton family of Clifton, Nottingham. I also study woodland flowers, plants, botanicals, and trees as a hobby. I have wondered for the past couple of years what types of plants, trees, and birds are in the woods next to my family’s ancestral home. It is a true joy to find out. Again, my most heartfelt thank you!
Great video about a great job!
I'd strongly recommend watching his speech to the Dartmoor parks authority as its far easier to watch And more powerful whilst making the same points..
best speech in years and a way out
paid my first visit to the site today and had a great morning, got some great shots too. was disappointed to see the viewing platform in the video in a serious state of dissrepair tho
I used to think that closed canopy was the default landscape of places like England or my home in New England. I don't believe that to be exactly the case anymore. Our assumption of closed canopy doesn't take into account the keystone megafauna we bumped off over the last 10 millenia. The default landscape in our climate was Frans Vera's kaleidoscope of grassland, scrub and grove with woodland in natural trap areas. It looked a lot like east Africa. Also it makes sense that over-grazing is a chronic matter not an acute one. It's not the number of sheep, it's the fact that they are allowed to camp out in same pasture day after day, constantly hammering the tastiest bits. Rebecca Hosking is "agri-wilding" 100 or so acres in south Devon with 1000 or so sheep that are kept tight and moving, mimicking the landscape of fear. In short we need both rewilding and permaculture to deal with our problems.
I mean, I wouldn't mind seeing the return of the mammoth and the mastodon to help rebuild ecosystems
Inspirational - Mr. Monbiot, you're fast becoming a national treasure!

What a brilliant hide, I've been in hundreds but that's one of the best, can't wait to return.
I knew there would be Brock's there😁
This deserves to have 100.000 times the amount of views it does.
Sadly, most people are 'sheople' & would rather watch cat videos & idiotic pop star videos...
you can't see an enemy when he stares you in the face and serves up his bullshit.
Meekseek your statement is a contradiction upon itself. Your comment is both highly visible and bullshit.

Fantastic talk, I think i'm ready to read Feral now
I ordered mine yesterday on ebay! George is fantastic. We are all so used to 'this green & pleasant (barren) land' that we forget it is supposed to be rainforest territory. So much land is still capable of being rewilded & I just want this rewilding revolution to start asap. It won't as long as the Tories have a say though...
Looks like a great place to visit.
I saw at least 12 at the same time yesterday at wollaton park I've never seen a badger before!! It was amazing they just ran out of this Bush bout 6 ft from me and my friends wow!!!!!
firstly englsho is very right!!! well said, and secondly adults and youngsters have used this site for many years. children have fished on this site since i was a young lad. It has kept people like me and many others i imagine , out of trouble unlike many of the youth in retford today, where there is a big problems with drug and alcohol. Instead of providing a place for our future generations to create positive memories and provided an alternative to the typical recreational activities that retford youth are participating in theses days, they are removing young lads and also others like myself, so that the few bird watchers , many not local to reford can have it all to themselves.. NO wonder our country is going to shit, people only care about protecting ones own priorities and will walk all over the normal man to get it!!! (just like our government is doing )!!! to re-literature Many of the people that i see fishing theses lakes are young lads that have very little money but a passion for SOMTHING , theses lads are keeping there selfs out of trouble in a world that is doing to pot, but instead of supporting future generations by allowing youngsters to enjoy nature and the outdoors , you are saying go and do drugs and alcohol. Finally yes there are other lakes that people can fish legally but they are horrible little puddles surrounded by cars train lines and are so unnatural, over stocked and un challanging that it could be likened to a bird watcher going to aviary to veiw caged animals. We want nature and love nature just like you !
plus is is a top carp fishing venue, if you can find a nice place to hide in all the bushes.
What size carp are we talking Sam? Nothing like being tucked away in the bushes ha :)
Luke Robinson I mate ,have to be in full stealth mode theses days as wardens are like mosquitoes down there. had them up2 30lb with several others around 27-28 etc, and have herd of larger ones. would estimate the average fish is 20lb+
bloody brilliant
Just been looking at the webcam with the youngsters starting to feel the wind beneath their wings. -- my my - how they've grown
Interesting how the parent seems to step on the end of the egg to almost help the chick/eyas break out. Can we have footage of the other two hatching?
Phil Cressell its a Dove that is a sign of peace my child.
