Diecast Rejuvenation
Приєднався 11 січ 2021
Hello, I'm Troy and after retiring from The City of Phoenix after 30 years I was looking for a hobby I could do around the house. I came across some diecast restoration videos and I was hooked. Despite not liking the regular wheeled Matchbox cars as a kid, they are ironically my main focus for restoring. I really love the realism they have. My goal is to find and restore one of each version.
I have found the Diecast Community to be full of really good people and the interactions are always positive. Lately I have been interested in getting in on some of the Build Challenges and also putting out some restoration videos. We'll have to see how it goes..
I want to give a huge Thank You to Paul (Mid Life Models) and Cole (Cuda's Diecast Customs) for welcoming me so warmly to this incredible community!

Why the baking soda?
@@SC-mt9ph The baking soda reacts with the super glue and form a very hard, sandable, and paintable build up. It has many uses in the diecast restoration process.
Subscribed. Good luck.
Your video and method are very interesting and informative. Thank you. I am checking out hobbyists videos on different ways to do axle work for miniature cars.
I have been trying to make replacement axles for over twelve months, the results being so poor I almost gave up. Having found your method I had immediate success; thank you so very much. I am very much looking forward to watching further videos.
Glad I could be of assistance!
This is brilliant! Thank you sir. I just subscribed

Great video! Thank you. My son has been wanting to fix his broken hot die-cast cars. Axels were all bent from pressing down too hard.
