I have done two different courses with Don and i cant say enough about him. The knowledge and the expertise is 2nd to none. The family atmosphere when you arrive is nothing like I've ever experienced before. If you want to learn precision rifle skill this is the man to see. The food is nothing short of remarkable as well. Altogether he is the man to see for long range shooting!

Interesting video. I'm never sure why these videos stipulate 3 items, or 5, or whatever? Beats me! Victorinox v Leatherman comparison. Obviously this is a mismatch, as they are different tools meant for different environments and conditions. If you want a DIRECT comparison you should have chosen the Victorinox Swiss Tool, which is also a pliers based tool like Leatherman. Then you would have had an apples v apples comparison. You would also have found that the Victorinox tools, tool-for-tool, are more robust, and better designed than Leatherman tools. The Victorinox pliers, in particular, is FAR more rugged and robust. I once snapped the tip off my Leatherman Wave while doing a relatively light-weight task, which would never happen with the Victorinox! The SAK you showed is intended for outdoors use with the tools intended for that environment. For example, it is unlikely you'd need a full size pliers in the forest. You might however need a small pliers for making snares and other light pinching tasks - the Victorinox you showed has that. The Victorinox saw is several orders of magnitude better than the Leatherman - ditto the scissors, awl/reamer. The blade on the Victorinox Hercules model is the same size, and anyway you had a large knife for larger tasks anyway. The way you dealt with the Victorinox knife clearly shows that you have very little, if any, experience with using one. A guy called Felix Immler has written several books and regularly puts out videos on UA-cam demonstrating just what can be accomplished with a Swiss Army Knife (Ranger Grip 179). Its illuminating. He has also recently collaborated with Victorinox in designing and producing a new fixed blade bushcrafting knife, the Venture series, and it is proving to be immensely popular. On the other hand, in the environment of the Military, the Leatherman might be a better option, and I can't speak to that with any conviction because I'm no longer in the Military, and anyway I was in the Navy! It's a pity you did not elaborate on the knife you showed. Another comparison with, say a Cold Steel SRK (as used by the US Navy Seal BUDS programme) might have been useful to viewers. I personally would choose the SRK any day of the week! Anyway, good demo of the various multitools not to buy, and good promo for Leatherman. [By the way, I have a Wave and have used it a lot. I'm not saying it's bad, just that the Awiss Tool is better.] Cheers mate.

Wave/Charge fan but I just picked up the Surge which means you can carry multiple saw and diamond blades as well as hacksaw blades for cutting metal. Leatherman sells a pocket clip for the Wave/Charge/Surge line. This video is too light on "must have gear" and is basically a multi-tool ad.
