I have books that I would like to include on the Fable App under "Wants to Read" and when I search, none of them are available on the app. This means ONLY the books on the app are able to be added. If I have Audible books, I am unable to add as well. This functionality is NOT HELPFUL and the app, for me will need to be deleted. I should be allowed to include books in MY bookcase. I would much prefer to have to freedom to add ALL BOOKS instead of having the detail options of plot design, characters, etc. Thanks for sharing your review of the app.

Stunning Journal!

I am so hesitant to pick up that book because some say that the fantasy world/magic world is amazing but also I am not a fan of fantasy books where the spice takes over. I am a fantasy wit romance subplot girlie with slow burn and no spice. So maybe I should pass that one...I read too many books this year just because of the hype and my goal for next year is actually to read more that really "sounds" like it would be my taste and not only for the hype😥 But it was so fun to watch you read it and get an insight, especially since it helped me to figure out even more if I should read it or not

I 100% agree with your thoughts on the book - except I liked Kingfisher's name lol.

I’ve been using Fable for a few months and I really love some aspects of it. Especially day tracking and year tracking, but my biggest problem is it doesn’t have some of the books I read so I can’t fully commit yet.

Thanks for this review. I have a question - should I be using this app on my phone or can I use it on my computer? I am trying to see how to add book via the app on my computer and not seeing it. That is why I am asking about is it best to use my phone? Thanks

Tysm! I'm currently reading this and I was actually a little bit ashamed of liking this because the writing wasn't anything fantastic. This made me feel so validated.

I think you're hella brave for facing your anxiety and letting go of some books. I don't have any good ideas on what to do with the un-haul. Donate most to a high school for any YA and the adult to a women's shelter? You could sell the special editions on Mercari or something like it. But I wouldn't price them based on what you paid for them. More like what you'd take to get the shelf space and mental load back.

As soon as I don't like a book, I have no problem with getting rid of them immidiately. But my problem right now is that my bookshelf only has books in it that I liked (not even my tbr, I have that in the tbr cart) and now my whole bookshelf is full. I have books in second rows etc. and I don't have any space for another bookshelf since I also only live in one room... so I can't convince myself to unhaul books since every book I own I liked 😥😥 Also I am on the same page as you with Zodiac Academy. I tried but I wasn't even able to get fully through the first book since the bully trope was so bad and also for me there was some misogynistic stuff in it that wasn't even questioned/critizised by the twins, just a "oh I guess that is how the school works, okay" reaction and that was such a red flag for me...

I read all TMI and the prequel because people still constantly say how good this series is and nope I never feel invested. The lore is okay but her characters are always the same and they are insufferable.

The Ivory Key felt like a standard YA fantasy book that I enjoyed but wasn't invested in enough to continue the series when I could read other books instead that I would enjoy more

Unhauling I have found this year is definitely the best way to reduce TBR size noticeably

I am a big fan of book track. Even it‘s not soo cheap it‘s worth it for me a lot. Love this app and it‘s regularly updated with new functions that users had asked for.

wow what an amazing video! Right now I also have a digital reading journal but for me I just bought a digital bullet journal (blank but dotted digital journal) and tried to create spreads in my note taking app. But now after seeing your video I am thinking of creating the spreads in Procreate. I love digital drawing but strangely haven't used it for the journal. I have one question: I am not the biggest fan of Goodnotes so I use another app. Do you know if you export a journal in goodnotes where you have created links to a spread (like in your video) to a pdf file, do the links work in the pdf file as well? Or just in goodnotes itself? Because my app can't create links but I am thinking about linking the journal in goodnotes, then export it and use it in my actual journal app. I hope my question makes sense haha

I tried Fable, but I didn't like it. I couldn't update page numbers read like I can with Goodreads and Storygraph. Also, it was nearly impossible for me to do star ratings on books that I had finished. I think I'll stick with Goodreads and Storygraph.

I loved Bookwise! It’s been so helpful for tracking my reading and keeping me organized.

I really wish I’d found Beanstack back when my friends and I had a bookclub (not sure if the app had already existed in 2018/2019 tho)!! Apart from that, I really liked Reading List, Bookmory and also that one feature from BookJournal that allows you to look for books by tropes 🩷

I have joined Fable about 3 weeks ago. However, the one thing I wish they would improve is to allow someone to mark they have read on previous days. I have ADHD, and it is sometimes hard for me to remember to log in on a daily basis. BTW, I have already followed you, just now, on Fable so you do not need to go looking for me.

What I don't like about fable is that the covers look very ugly. Some of the covers are just pictures of an actual book that someone took

Thank you! I just joined fable and it gave me a TON of book recommendations that look like they just fit me so well. Their book lists are fantastic! I’m probably going to delete goodreads. ❤😅

I'm still loving Bookmory, which I think you mentioned in previous video, none of these seem like my thing, except maybe fable. Bookmory is great because it works offline and you can easily export your data. I export in .md and then I can put it in my obsidian vault 😊

Goodreads gets a lot of hate but do any of the other apps link to public library to show availability/allow checkout?

I love StoryGraph for logging my books, it has 0.25, 0.5, and 0.75 stars. The App I've used for years that help me keep of exactly how much I read and how long I takes me to read, is Read More App. And let you have an unlimited amount of collections you can sort your books into like fantasy all kinds of tropes unlimited amount. Whatever you can think of you can make it.

Story Graph is my favorite!!!!!

Fable looks nice but I wonder how many books are not there. I couldn't find the book I'm reading right now and it's really popular and was released like 1 year ago ( Of war and Ruin by Ryan Cahill) so my first impression is not that great. It's a shame because I really like the look of the app otherwise.

I don't read that many books, but I remember everything I have read thus far. But if you're reading a 1000 books year, a tracker probably is essential. I like your review of the different trackers and maybe when I get to that point that I can't remember what I've read, I'll hopefully find a tracker that works for me.
