I really really love this story. They should keep it going. That’s is how we can get a better nascar. I seriously haven’t watch a nascar race outside of Daytona and the race at Coliseum in about 2 years, which is crazy for me. NASCAR needs to do something to make racing exciting again. F1 and Indy cars have it racing title “now”. The cars and series that run under the Rolex clock are about to take it. The racing is good and all the cars are amazing, AND Moto GP is having a great year. Anyway NASCAR better do something b4 they go belly up.

The point is that the Camaro ZL1 Nascar as "quite nothing" (more nothing but...) in common with a street legal Camaro ; while conversely the cars of the LM GT category retain a minimum common base with their street legal models !! Nevertheless, I loved seeing this Camaro ZL1 Nascar riding in Le Mans and this car is nonetheless super effective💪👍🤘👌

I watched this beauty at 100 years of Le Mans. The star of the show. That V8 was godly. Nothing better than sitting next to the track at 04:00 in the morning watching this beast roar past.

Ofc it faster then the lmgte class its lighter and has much more hp. It still corners like a garbage truck and only had a good lap time because le mans has so manny straights

I just want to remind people of something: This is not America's first go-around in European racing. That happened quite regularly in the 1950s and 1960s. And in point of fact, Ford won several European races at the same time in the 1960s as they were beating GM at the dragstrip with Mustang. The biggest upset was, I believe, in 1967, when Ford, using 3 Ford GT40s, beat the entire field 1-2-3 in the Paris-to-Le Mans road race. And this was in addition to Mustangs also placing well in its class in European road racing during the same era, when everybody used a 4-speed manual, and Ford developed the first 5-speed manual transmission. Point is, if you think NASCAR is done with Euro road racing, you've got another thing coming. Give NASCAR 5 years, and a rulebook to go over, and I guarantee you that NASCAR would field a competitive entry into Euro road racing. Even here, if the gearbox hadn't blown up, that Camaro would have probably placed in the top 10, maybe top 5, against the other similar cars. A 4-minute lap time is nothing to sneeze at.
