Thank you for the note. We got stoked stumbling upon this "warm up" trail. It's a gem hidden among the trees. Just did my first gap jump ever late summer. This one would help my progression. If you remember the name let me know.

What made it different for you?

Thanks for reaching out. Single tracks at Lime Ridge are mostly Blue. There are black diamond features throughout the open space though. There are 3 popular trails used by many for DH. 1. Thorn Alley, 2. Back 9 3. Middle Trail. There is a rock quary also that had /has some featrues that are more advanced. From folsom, you are looking at about an hour drive. Message me if you are coming out, I may be able to show you around..

I turn it on and off depending on conditions. If trails are active with people and or animals I turn it on for safety.

Cinderella Trail according to Strava, "Cindi or Cindy" for short, so I am told.

Thanks for the tips. I will try to keep the bell at a minimum. You are spot on the crash, front tire traction went to zero due to breaking at the wrong section. Going to go back and will hit it again.

I film with the insta360 One R with a GPS remote. The desktop software comes with GPS telemetry overlay which is what you see in the vids.

I agree. Besides the warm weather, the soil is also dryer and loose. My next ride here will likely be in the fall or late winter.

The light has a battery on its own. I ran it full blast until it died and out of the box I got about 3 hours out of it. I also got a similar light but a smaller version mounted on my helmet. That runs about the same time.

Which part? The ride in was all uphill from where we parked then we just took the same trail down. All else, we were being towed around since it was my first time there.

@@sulsj thanks for clarifying. That trail goes on but we didn’t explore further. The guys where just showing us where the bigger jumps where. I plan to go back and ride there more. The trails captured in this vid is a very small fraction of what is available.

That was the first for me and wow, it was tough. I can over time and much practice imagine that it can be doable. What I could not show here because my camera acted up is the really tight off camber switch backs. I have seen videos of riders doing endos over those. I have also seen some using mini hops to pivot the bike. Both definitely require mastering. In the immediate term, I think I have reached my limit there :)

There is a main entrance Lime Ridge Open space plus a mini parking lot maps.app.goo.gl/8GwbafcumKG7y9XG6 Just beware when parking your vehicle. Make sure you do not have valuables exposed. There have been break-ins here. There are other ways to enter the open space. If you look at the map, where the space borders neighborhoods, there are trail heads that you can also use. Hope this helps.
