This is exactly my fear ,when I tell people I’m afraid of death they think I’m afraid to go to hell or something but what I’m scared of is nothingness for millions and billions of years as you’re unable to move just stuck there,no second chance,no choice,no life,just…darkness. It just gives you a sense of dread about what the heck is gonna happen because what if nothing happens and you never get you live again? Scary thoughts

If there is nothing afterwards, how come there is so much proof of an afterlife? There is something, it's called faith!

This is one of my earliest thoughts that i remember... trying to imagine to not be able to imagine anymore. The thought that even when im thinking of nothing, that nothing becomes something and we start again...

Maybe death is a reward for living in this universe it's vast and we're so tiny compared to it whose to say that something doesn't happen after all we know is we don't walk around in this body anymore but forever is suggesting that universe itself doesn't die idk my reality will end here one day but I believe someone created the universe cause science just can't explain I'm not saying God Jesus or religion but science standpoint forever seems impossible implying thatbour universe isna one time deal. I didn't ask to be created it's different before I was born now I know I must die one day I just don't think there such thing as forever.

I used to believe you go to back to wherever you were before you were born..Now i believe your spirit lives on..but i cant imagine in what form and where.

That's the way I feel but it's gotta be pleasant. Like before we were even thought of .. Born I certainly don't have any memory before birth so I imagine it being the same

We can all accept that the planet will eventually be consumed by the sun and the whole solar system will die and that will be forever, that's gone forever. But yet we can't accept the fact that we die forever. There isn't much difference. What I can't comprehend is a situation where you live forever. That just makes absolutely no sense at all. Nothing else in the universe lives forever. Why the hell should we?

Y’all can believe what ever you want but if you look at the facts god makes NO sense and the after life all religions show for example reincarnation makes no sense either, it’s nothing when you die

You won't be there to witness the "nothing". Human experiences, thoughts, memories, and all the knowledge about EVERYTHING, including knowing that you exist as an entity, would be flushed out. That is death. The body continues in a different form. The body is eternal.

Deep.. there’s life after death

Stan Lee says having nothingness last forever. Before we were even born, we experienced a LONGGGGGG nothingness forever but we didn't even feel any time at all. It must be the same after death. We feel nothing, and our body just goes back to the soil and stays with the gravitational pull of the Earth. Just think of how lucky we are honestly, to even experience a life with all of the amenities now. It's completely MIND-BLOWING. We just experienced the best times of our lives and it'll only get worse as the time goes on, then eventually, the world will go to shit or the Earth will blow up

How many planets are in space? ALOT, which means there are a shit ton of lifeforms everywhere. We aren't just the only pretty little faces in the universe with the perfect little egos who are going to exist forever just because we think we are so special. That's why we made up God so we can comfort our fear of death and live as a floating ball of energy in Heaven or whatever. We can't STAND the fact our precious little consciousness that we love so much will be gone FOREVER!

None of this makes any sense. There is nothing when we die. It doesn't matter what we believe. If it did matter we would all know. A truly powerful Creator would make sure things go the way He wants it go. Forget the "believe and be saved" message. I just got here 37 years ago. If there's a problem it's not mine to fix. If there's a problem with anything it's the Creator's burden not mine. And since that would be the case everyone should be "saved". This life causes "evil" because of our limited capacities as humans. Without that there would be no "evil." I'm only human and I know that much.

When we die, we just go back to where/who/what, etc, we were before we were born

I don't know what happens after death. I know that after my dad died, he was around for a few days and then it all stopped. Some bizarre things happened. I told my mother and brother about what I experienced and even they didn't seem to grasp it. It's not that they didn't believe me, it's that what I experienced happened to me and not them. Nothing I can say can recreate it or paint the picture of what I saw. The problem that we have when we try to share such experiences is people either don't believe, don't understand, want to interpret it their way or don't want to know at all because it frustrates them. I have too many religious friends and family members who would hijack my story and try to make it make sense for them. I don't believe it's supposed to MEAN anything. It just is. It just happened. Since those days, I've flip-flopped between being fearless to being fearful. I don't want to die but I sometimes don't want to live. What the heck do I do with that kind of inner turmoil? I just live. I'm going to die anyway. So I'm just gonna live and let it come my way. I'm not going to hurt myself or end it all. I'm going to live. My dad wanted me here, loved me and he was proud of me. He's gone. That was always his plan, to die before me. I just have to accept that and be grateful for everything I've got, because it's all borrowed and it cannot last forever.
