Hey it's my Uncle Jeff! Also for those wondering, yes his life is insane, I hear some of the most insane stuff whenever I visit.
One of my favorite places in NYC to visit after work on Thursday nights for open mic, Music Inn and the artist community around it are healers. Jeff is very humble and I wish him a long life, this place healed me with music at a time I was going through some challenges with personal wellbeing and emotional distress.
That should be a movie👌a guy name André 3000 came here, was the best 🤣
Beatiful thanks for this doc! I just played this store last night at their Open Mic night... now I know so much more. Lovely.
This is fantastic seeing women helping each other. I love that shop. The itens are beautiful. From the UK. ❤😊
yo Jeff, hey !! l just bought little rhythm instruments for my niece and nephews in Chicago for Christmas, remember? .. very cool video 🌹❣️
Music Inn is the kind of shop that I used to love browsing through as a young man.....and they are disappearing. I would urge my younger counterparts to not lose these, and support them any way that you can! "You don't know what you got till it's gone!"
Wonderful woman - beautiful shop - so dedicated and was extremely helpful - loved visiting and shopping there ❤
Mom
Ciao, Marea! Sono tua cugina Francesca e come mi hai consigliato ho guardato il video. Hai fatto un lavoro strepitoso! Bacioni😘
I would love to hear from viewers!
amazing story 👏🏼👏🏼
This documentary-like Katinka-is such an extraordinary labor of art and craft and love. Thank you♥️♥️♥️
Loved to hear their stories ❤ amazing job ✨
What a great video! I would love to spend some time with him, soaking up his knowledge. I design and sew, and he is a wealth of knowledge, talent, and technique. Brovo ❤
I am so grateful that this film exists. I visited Jane and Billy at Katinka over the course of the many years I lived in NYC. They are warm, welcoming, wonderful , people. The store feels like “ a world in a small room,” to borrow the title of a book of photographs by Irving Penn. I always walked away feeling enriched -by information and insight into an object that fascinated me, by an interesting travel anecdote, by a kind, unhurried , pleasant exchange in the midst of a frenzied city. Katinka has a special time signature, its own time zone, its own special vibe. Among my many purchases from Katinka, I treasure most a scarf Jane dyed while she was in India in September 2001, unable to return to the USA as planned because of the tragic events that month. I will never forget her talking to me about the experience of making beauty, of making art to quell grief and anxiety while she awaited the opportunity to return home. I think about that conversation when I find the presence of mind to pick up a needle and thread to make my own medicine. I am so sorry the store is closing, but I am certain that Jane and Billy will continue to make WOW from whatever comes next. I am so glad that I lived there during Katinka’s existence and that I had the repeated pleasure of crossing the threshold of 303 E. Ninth Street and being welcomed into a universe of calm, kindness, and sensory delight.
Grazie.
loved it Marea! The conversations were so rich and i could literally feel the positive energy emanating from the couple. Also I enjoyed the breakaways and music transitions!
What I appreciate most is the people who come by the shop and find something to add to their musical lives.. thank you for your patronage.
Nice to see people are still interested
Lovely story that's echoed throughout the provinces around the world. I'm one of the lucky ones that was trained by your generation so a bespoken torch is burning bright in Birmingham, UK.
Loved this! I hope the store does go on and contribute to World Peace💕
The Best.....nobody close
I had passed in front of this shop a good many times and didn’t know what I missed until I saw this video. Many thanks for a great New York City story.

I LOVE Jimmy Fallon's suits! What an experience to see the man who made them.
It’s sad that our American culture is losing this elegant hardworking insightful skilled generation of people. That there is “no business “ left in a bespoke tailor is very sad.
I love this

John Wayne received an award
His view is somewhere ignorant? I can guarantee there are still great tailors in Asia and India. But yes the nyc tradition is probably gone
Idiot tris to sell high class in podunk Merica, UM pretty funny.
I read the 'oh so sad we don't dress up' comments. But COME ON, MAN! 12k for the coat? No freaking way.
$12,000 ÷ 120 hours = $100 an hour for elite level artisan craftsmanship that takes many years to master. Subtract from that $100, the cost of materials, equipment, rent, staff, tax, advertising, and utilities. The people who have $12,000 to drop on a suit are the 1% of the 1%. Your comment tells me that you’re not his target market.
Sorry to say, but the Chinese communist can copy those suits for 50 bucks wholesale price. So sad.
I miss the days when both men and women dressed I finer clothing regularly. My mother was a master tailor, she made me some nice things, and I learned that love of textiles and fashion from her. I still have silks and linens from the 1980’s but I don’t get to wear them much. I still have my mother’s 2 sewing machines and surger, and also the great dresses and baptismal outfit she made my daughter when she was so little. 🪡🧵
It's a shame that people don't dress the way they used to. So sad.
Make women’s suits. I designed and had a turkish lady make mine
Good looking suits

Had the opportunity to sit in front of the Music Inn and play guitar with Jeff. It was beautiful and a morning to remember always.
Beautiful life story! I love the contrast between his normal work clothes and the soccer outfit at the end 😂
Brava !!!! 👍👍👍👍
What a brilliantly sweet life story... .
