      I honestly tried this. I ran into the issue where the rad is thicker than the fans so I couldnt get clearence between the EPS connectos on the top of the board and the radiatior. ended up needing a new cooler.

    I typically limit my used computer components to $30 so that if I get scammed it's not a really big loss! Most sellers on FB are pretty decent and honest but I have found those predominately from India and the Middle East to be scammers and will not buy or sell to these individuals any longer.... East Indians really expect the items a person posts on FB to be almost free and offer typical 20% of your asking price..... talk about crap! Mind you, I have gotten GTX 1060 6GB video cards for about $20 each and AMD 8350 CPUs for around $25 ~ $30 but the AMD 8350 is slightly lower that market price! The GTX 1060s 6GB I managed to score because the seller believed that a DELL GTX 1060 was garbage and the other MSI GTX 1060 was non functional and needed the GPU soldering points to be reflowed. After that the MSI sprang back to life and was 100% functional again!

    I have the earlier model of this. I am on optic fibre. My W-Fi speeds are as high as my ISP allows on my plan - e.g. 500Mbs down / 35Mbs up. That is with the router being downstairs and through a brick wall. Ethernet would give me the same results - because that is my plans speed cap. Don't know why your results were so poor. A comment for others watching this two years on. The Asus cable connects the card to the USB plug on the motherboard. I found it would not work when plugged into a USB socket, in needs a USB2... But I have the previous model. Superb card. Tip on the Blue Tooth. A lot of folk have had issues with lag on sound putting voice out of sink when watching videos. Uninstall the Bluetooth driver and let windows install one downloaded from Intel. Problem solved.

    I recently bought a mined RTX 3070. It has worked perfectly until now and my really happy with it, I only paid 200€ (USD 220). I will also suggest to look who the seller is because that can tell you a lot about how was the system treated. I bought mine from a guy that just join the tendency of mining and he didn't know much about PCs in general, what it make me realise that BIOS was never modified, the GPU was maintained regularly and he was keeping it running with aircond on. Just be careful to who are you buying and you will be find :)

    That goes on my nerves when somebody says "nobody needs CDs anymore"... And here I am boasting a blu-ray drive, and I got a SFF PC with a DVD drive as an HTPC in my living room (collection of roughly 250 discs!), AND the PS5 disc version. Because we wanna OWN things! Not depend on some sh!tty company that can remove my "ownership" for "licensing" reasons! And I need to be able to install the driver when my PC is not near the router! Everybody needs CDs! Wake up people!

    I have to disagree that the 500gb M.2 SSD is large enough for everyday use, and here's why; that "C" drive will eventually get filled-up even if you don't load anything on it but the Windows operating system. Even when you use a separate HDD/SSD drive to load your programs and games onto, parts of almost every program you use off-loads small parts of itself to the "C" drive. Eventually, it will fill it. Even "Disk Cleanup" will only save you for so long. What I did on a 500gb M.2 SSD was only load Windows, Office, Nortons antivirus. That leaves plenty of room for the day-to-day "C" drive bloat that occurs during usage. Put everything else on a secondary HDD/SSD. I say the minimum M.2 SSD you should consider for gaming is 1tb. And that's the minimum. If building a system, go for 2tb M.2 SSD. 1tb is $70 and 2tb is $120. It just makes sense. Believe me, when it comes to storing your data, think big. You'll need it!

    • @NoReply28
      @NoReply28 8 місяців тому

      500gb is more than enough for everyday uses... I have a separate SSD for game storages but every other programs and files goes onto a 500gb M.2 SSD... And there still plenty of space left. Been using it daily for almost 5 years now.
