      You must not have cleared all the junk out of the pan. If needed disassemble to the point where you can GENTLY - and I mean GENTLY lift the coils up out of the pan slightly and clean underneath them. Those coils are made of copper with aluminum fins. They are very easy to bend or kink. You kink or puncture the lines, the unit is trash. I had to take one of my units a bit further and clean debris that got between the two coils and thick underneath.

      My machine is a 2012. On my machine, the Hydraulic filter is located in the engine compartment - left hand side - upper quadrant closest to the cab. It’s tough to change without making a mess. It looks like an oil filter that is about 3x as tall as a standard car or truck.

    Hi. Is that spray okay to use indoors? And what if you dont have a garden hose? I rent and dont have basic things available to me. Thanks!

    • @neverendingdiy
      @neverendingdiy 3 місяці тому

      Yeah, the spray will be fine indoors. You could try using the sprayer on your sink if you have one. You just need enough water pressure to clean the debris out of the coil. A spray bottle would probably do it if you were hard pressed - but it would take FOREVER! I would recommend finding a friend or if your work has a hose just take it somewhere and do it there.

      @@neverendingdiy so check this out. Thanks to your video, I learned about that dripping spot above where the bucket goes on the right. I put a zip tie in there and messed around. A little bit trickled out. In the back, I undid the cap where the hose would go (I dump the bucket) and WOW the amount that came out!! It was staggering! I looooved it. The consistency was gross like thick mucous but I loved getting it out. I removed all screws but was unable to disassemble the components. When I removed the filter (cover), it revealed the same area that you sprayed. What I ended up doing was going in the direction of the lines w a microfiber cloth and that seemed to remedy that. It all dripped down and made its way to the drip and the hole of the cap and more drained out. I loved draining that stuff so much if I could make a career of just doing that, I would. My next step is looking up how to clean the bucket out. I see how it's got build up in there that reminds me of Vaseline. I'm embarrassed to admit this but you are officially my dehumidifier cleaning guru so I think confessions are fitting. When I looked up bucket maintenance, it says to clean it once weekly or more. I've have dehumidifiers for 20 years at this point and NEVER have. THANK YOU endlessly for this video!

    I’m new learning hydraulics… I’m borrowing a machine and the arm creeks and is moving slow. It’s got a small hydraulic leak on one of the actuator hose connections that I don’t know how long it’s been there. Can I just fix the leak and add more hydro fluid or do I need to flush the system? thanks for sharing the tutorial.

    • @neverendingdiy
      @neverendingdiy 6 місяців тому

      No need to flush the system. If the leak on the hose is coming out of the rubber, it needs to be replaced. If it’s coming out of one of the fittings there is likely dirt or debris in the metal fitting. Unscrew it, clean it, and tighten it back down. As for the creaking… GREASE GREASE GREASE. You need to grease that thing ever couple times you use it. If you don’t go through a whole tube of grease every couple weeks depending on how often you use the machine, you’re not greasing enough. Those machine need constant lubrication. Always be sure to check you oil, coolant, hydro fluid, and grease before EVERY operation. Check your tire pressure too if you have tires. If you have tracks, they are held in place with pressure from grease. Those need grease also. Everywhere there is a fitting put like 10-20 pumps into it until everything is lubricated

After an hour or two, and alot of torn up ground, the piston finally gave way. Now upon reassemble, I put the bladder in backwards. No more tractor pull. Im wondering, you need to make sure cylinder 1 is at TDC. 😅 what do i do if there is no timing belt on there and the cam and crank are way out of proper timing.. Long and short, timing belt broke, i checked with an inspection camera and there appears to have been no contact of the pistons with the valves. I realize im throwing a hail marry here😅 but trying to just change the timing belt itself. Ive been researching for days and what i came up with to do this is pull valve cover and then take the rockers all loose to take all pressure off the valves. Is there anyway to do this without doing that?

    • @neverendingdiy
      @neverendingdiy 7 місяців тому

      Oof. What a challenge you’ve got. So keep one thing in mind, when cylinder 1 is at TDC the spark plug has just ignited, so both valves are closed. If you remove the valve cover, you should be able to watch the rocker movement to verify. The challenge you’re going to run into is rotating the crank shaft and the came shaft gradually together to get both of them to their TDC positions. The procedure for changing out timing belts specifically states that when you are done you are to rotate the crank two full revolutions to verify that timing is correct. If you run into ANY resistance, stop immediately as you could damage the engine. This is the resistance you’re going to run into by trying to step both shafts along. You absolutely do this by removing all the rockers, but you’ll have to have the tools to verify your valve lash/valve clearance when you reinstall. So you’re trading one challenge for another. Just remember to take your time. Sometimes the longest solution is the best one. When the job turns out successful, because you took your time and went through the motions, it will all be worth it. Good luck buddy!

    • @motov8-garage832
      @motov8-garage832 7 місяців тому

      @@neverendingdiy Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Yea I didnt think about setting valve lash, thinking about that makes me feel it might be easier just to pull the head instead (then I'll have a headgasket to do..) but would be a better alternative. Otherwise I had the same thought about doing a super tedious job of carefully moving the crank and cam in a way to avoid contact until i get it aligned properly😬 I could have the valve cover off like you said and see where each set of valves are at (while maybe watching each piston with the inspection camera going back and forth)😅. O man, I'm sweating already.. Like I said I'm just giving this a shot, looks like I got some serious options to weigh out.

      This particular truck does not have a speed sensor in the transmission. This truck is equipped with an NV3500 5 speed manual transmission. The only electrical hookup in it is the reverse light. Some trucks do indeed have the speed sensor built into the transmission. This one however is mounted in the differential.
