Happy Godzilla Day Matt. That is one impressive collection you have, I’m so envious of the scales you have of Godzilla, Gigan and Ghidorah. I’ve been a fan since I was 5 or 6 years old ( I’m 54 now). My most prized Godzilla toy is the 1978 Mattel figure from the Godzilla Gang series. I later found out the rest of the monsters were from Ultraman. My happiest Godzilla moments were being able to take pics with the suits at San Diego Comic Con and Minus One winning an Academy Award. By the way, I was lucky to win a print of yours when I attended the Minus One panel at this year’s SDCC. Hoping I can get it autographed by you someday. 🦖

So this is I've posted in other social media but I will also post it here. What Godzilla means to me? Godzilla started out for me as just a fun monster movie but as I grew up I started to look into it more, Godzilla taught me about Hiroshima and Nagasaki, when I learned that Godzilla symbolises the horrors of nuclear warfare I did my own research and that lead me to the bombings, then that lead me to WW2, and then the Second Sino-Japanese War. I felt bad seeing pictures of the dead and survivors because as an American I felt ashamed for what my country did however learning about Japan wartime atrocities my view kinda changed. My view on Hiroshima and Nagasaki is kinda odd, Japan did start the war and committed war crimes worse than the Nazis, but people say that we shouldn't feel bad for the bombings is not how I feel, I feel bad for the innocent civilians who had to suffer because of the actions of their evil government. I do feel like dropping the atomic bombs was justified and it that it saved more lives down the line however saying we can't/shouldn't feel sympathy for the innocent people who had nothing to do with the war, to me that just wrong. We shouldn't forget the war crimes Japan committed we also shouldn't forget the innocent lives that were lost in the atomic bombings. You might ask what does this have to do with Godzilla? Godzilla is the reason I know all about this, Godzilla has taught me more about history than school ever did, and about the danger of nuclear weapons and this is the reason I am anti- nuclear weapons. This is why Godzilla means so much to me he's not just some movie monster Godzilla is an anti-war movie, meant to spread the word of the horrors of war and the devastation nuclear weapons can bring, Godzilla symbolises the horrors of nuclear warfare.

Some of those definitely are custom? There were two around the Hanna Barbera that definitely look nothing like I've seen on market. Also shout out to the Hanna Barbera Gman love and support !!

Happy Godzilla Day! Honesty a lot of this video that I related with. From neurodivergency playing a role into my love of the series to how you got to meet your heroes. Even though I haven't been able to brute force it enough to make it a full-time career, yet, I felt something similar when I got to meet and hang out with you at AMA as a fellow artist tableing at the same con as you. I do hope that eventually luck will turn to my side and I too get to work on official Godzilla and tokusatsu art. But until then, I'll keep making both fan and original art as well as continue honing in on my art skills. Thank you so much for the art you make and for making this video

I still vividly remember browsing DeviantArt (back when it was good obviously) and seeing your Godzilla Neo artworks in the suggested bar. It blew my mind how someone could take decades worth of films and compile them all into a shared universe with brand new (yet still faithful) designs and a compelling story in each description. It really helped me go through what we call "the Dark Ages" of the series back when the first Legendary Godzilla film was just a rumor and helped cement me as the Godzilla fan I am today.
