Hello,great hearing from you friend,it's always tricky with broilers because we always give these materials to chicken of over 2 months, however for some broilers which are over 3 weeks,it's fine if you control it otherwise it can potentially lead to stunted growth

Great hearing from you,I wish I can clearly answer this. Sometimes the cost varies but if you are in Uganda,consider buying each layer chick at 3000 meaning it's 1.5M to get 500chicks,then consider around 1.5M to feed your chicken up to 1 months and from there you will need 1400x12x5x120 = 10M to feed your chicken until laying stage,you need around only 200k for all the vaccinations,then consider some labour ,and other costs if any. You can also consider other materials like cabages,weeds,grass, watermelon remains among others but for us we prefer banana peelings

@@ampehsteveedemkwameduke35 Great hearing from you. Well if the practice is not well regulated,it can affect your chicken. Forexample it's risky to feed layer birds below 4 months on banana peelings and broilers below one month as this can lead to stunted growth to the birds.. Then also we try as much as we can to expose the peelings to sunshine to reduce the sup content before we chop them. And again we regulate the amount we give to our birds per day,we recommend 4 to 5 kg of the fresh banana peelings per day per 100 birds. And again it's best practiced with local chicken and the improved ones compared to the pure layers and broilers . Hope this answers your question. Otherwise thanks for sticking around

@@dalisozulu1855 We give around 4kg of the peels per 100 mature chicken, remember it's just a compliment feed, however sometimes we replace 4 kg of the main chicken feed with the peels(out of the 12kg we are supposed to give 100 chicken per day,we only give them 8kh plus 4 to 6 kg of the peelings

So now,the banana peelings are just complement feeds,so we give them to chicken along side their well mixed feeds but in some cases we reduce on the ingredients of making the main chicken feed especially the carbohydrate,corns and in one way another,this practice will help you reduce the cost of feeding
