Back in the olden days when I used to bartend and compete, Licor 43 was a powerful secret weapon that I used all of the time. It is one of the Liqueurs with depth, and complexity that shy away from being observed when you taste it by itself; what you perceive on straight tasting is so balanced. Where its magic is, is in mixing. When you use it in cocktails the particular dimension latches onto interesting nuances because of its dimensions of flavor. Great job.

Given the popularity of the Espresso Martini, the Mexican cocktail "Carajillo" has become more known. (1.5 oz Licor 43, Double Shot Espresso, .5 oz Charanda, Brandy, or spirit of preference )
The Espresso Martini was on their list for cocktail suggestions. I'm sure it's great with Licor 43!-Jeremy

These are from my personal collection. This video was more to celebrate the 150 year anniversary of the Erickson Sauza family distilling tradition than promoting the spirits themselves. But We do get Fortaleza once a month or month and a half. You're more than welcome to give us a call and ask if we have it, we will let you know. We do not hold any or do phone orders, but we will let you know if we have it. Wednesday and Fridays are our delivery days for the supplier.

Have to come up and visit and get a bottle of that. We were in the bay area for a wedding in October and stopped by the distillery. I love their unique bourbon and I'm sure the barrel pick is maybe more unique. So delicious! The corn is so different in this mix and the rye gives it some great spiciness. Cheers!

I had the Arrete reposado and I think it is very good. It may not be as complex but I like it. How does it compare to Fortaleza reposado? I tried the Carrera 54 high proof tequila. I am not high on it. The Carrera 54 may be too peppery and high in alcohol for me.
I would agree that Arette, while simple, is a darn good Reposado. Especially for the price. Fortaleza Reposado is more expressive, has a little more of a toasted vanilla profile to it as well. But has very similar concept in clean and easy going like Arette.- Jeremy

Yes Phil you could also call it a Black Manhattan. I've just been more familiar to seeing a Black Manhattan specifically have Averna Amaro in it. I've once seen it with Montenegro as well.
