Thank you for this!
I’ve seen this clever tip numerous times. I just wanted to say that another useful tool is the brush that you run across your dies which helps loosen all the little pieces.
Thank you.
Cutting plate is what it is called
You need to use dryer sheets to get it unstuck
Adorable ❤️
I have used a candle which I rub gently over the cutting side of the die and it works,
Run it thru with a dryer sheet 3 or 4 times, it'll come right out.
Using dryer sheets actually pulls the little pieces from the day also.
Wow! Love the book you keep them in!
run it through again with a dryer sheets folded to make 8 folds will fall right out
Bella doesn't have dander either. It's amazing. ♥ Love this video.
Thank you for this!! I, too, have been frustrated with these intricate dies. Now I can use them.
Station Eleven is actually one of my favorites of all time.
Geraldine Reads So many people love it. I’m just usually a Thriller only reader so I’m a little nervous. 😬
I am so worried about Station Eleven. I own it and have for some time -- but Man.... I am scared I won't like it. :(
Hahaha! I replied to your comment before I realized who you were! Partner! 🥰
Hi!! It's Corinna! I have not watched Stumptown but I love the actress... Maybe I should start it. Hmmmm.
MonkeyheadBONKERS We really like it so far. 😬
I have The First Mistake for this too if I hate 7 husbands of Evelyn Hardcastle
OMG!! It worked. I was going crazy with my doily die. Thank you.
Vanilla Sky So glad it worked for you! 🙌
Wow! Great tip! Thank you!
Amy T So glad you like it! Thanks for commenting! ❤️
I loove bookoutlet, what a great haul! I'm tempted to make an order right now lol.
"I'm not fancy." girl!!! That's me too!!! ♥ (Penny from We Be Book' book club)
That’s a huge haul, I’m interested to see what you think of them when you read them. Book outlet is awesome such good prices!
Congrats on losing 40 pounds that is awesome!
Love your video! You got some amazing titles!! 💕
Loved your video! Love you carefree attitude and are filming just to share your love of books. All your books are amazing by the way and you have made my TBR pile bigger. 😂😂 Thanks for sharing.
Colleen Scidmore Thanks so much! I’m definitely a no-none sense kind of gal! 😬 So glad you enjoyed it. ❤️
Great haul! 💜 subscribed and looking forward to watching your channel more!
Theresa Perlmutter Awww...thanks! So glad we connected! 🤗
I'M SO HERE FOR THIS
We Be Book'N Yay! ❤️ Thanks for the inspiration to start doing it again. I may need some pointers. Haha!
Thank you for the tip!
Awesome idea. I also use wax paper when I score on the score board. I put wax paper on top of my paper. ☺
WOW! Awesome! Can you use those types of dies with fabric/ felts as well as paper? Thank you
tricia1234gm I’ve never tried it but I bet you could if the fabric was thing enough.
Good tip but try using the thin grocery bag plastics in place of wax paper. It is thin, tough and free. Great for getting words out of dies. Just cut out a piece large enough for your die and run it through.
@L CB All you need is a single thin piece. Works great every time. Good Luck.
Jennerator...that was the 1st method I found out about also, than I seen the one about the Dryer Sheets, and found it to be easier, and less messy...
here's what you would do to make it alittle easier 1st step....platform, cutting pad, cardstock, Die, cutting pad...run it through your machine...lift die off the card stock, (do NOT take card away from die), 2 nd step...platform, cutting pad, (4 pieces) basic dryer sheets, fold in half, lay the die with the cardstock still attached), lay die 'Blade down' onto the dryer sheet, lay the other cutting pad on top, run it through your machine...when you take the top cutting pad off, the Die will come right off, and the piece that you had cut will peel from the pieces, leaving the pieces stuck to the Dryer Sheet...you can use the same Dryer Sheet several times since you folded it, using it up to 8 times...Try, you'll like it better than wax paper, and it's only an extra step...No mess to clean, just throw the Dryer Sheet away when you've used all sides...
Dawna Fisher Thanks for the tip but I’ve banned dryer sheets due to the extreme toxic load they contain. Haven’t used them for years and wouldn’t touch one now of someone paid me. LOL! They have been directly linked to Alzheimer’s and pancreatic cancer. Be careful!
Ty for this tip!! So many of my intricate dies dont cut out properly and break so tyfs!!
OMG! Thanks for the tip. I am new to the SIzzix, and the first time I tried my flower set, it was so frustrating because I couldn't get them out...BUt I tried with foam and it was awesome. Tonight I will try with leather.
Would you believe wax paper isn't easily available in Australia, I don't know what's wrong with us!
I use the inner bag of breakfast cereals. Just a thought.
I do the same as Lorna. Works for me
Try thin plastic shopping bags single layer. Works we on any die.
Wow that's amazing. Love that idea. Thank you for sharing.
I wish I had seen this last week. I did use wax paper on the die but not with the paper I wanted to cut for Christmas cards. This would have made my life MUCH simpler.
I find a lot of the Spellbinders are difficult to get out!
Teresa Martin -hi Teresa. I believe Spellbinders needs to be made aware of this too!
would you tell me how to cut glitter paper with die cut ? It's because the die cut (it is new one)always can't cut the whole of shape out. Thank you.
fanyeung Hmmmm...I would suggest putting a shim in there to give it more pressure.
Hi Jen, I stumbled on your channel and then I saw a thumbnail video I thought I would send you to be informed about using wax paper on your dies. By the way, to remove the wax build up on your dies, I would use a blow dryer or heat gun to heat them up and wipe off the residue on them. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/BiHwrRZnn50/v-deo.html Hope it helps :0)
There is a much easier way.!!!!! I dont know if you have heard of the new Cut-Tidy product from tattered lace. I will see if i can post the video here. It has made my crafting life so much easier and fun. Have a look and thanks for sharing. ua-cam.com/video/RGBWk_NvJJM/v-deo.html
You like dies and a bargain? I think you do! I joined Spellbinder's Large and Small die of the month club. I thought I'd get a di of each size. That's not what I got. I got a collection of 4 dies for my lg.set and a collection of 7 dies in the small collection. This is every month or one time, up to you. I'm not making any money from them. I just think it's a great deal. The lg. die set the largest die is 5.10 square. Check it out. I love mine! Happy crafting!
Thank you so much 😊 that's very helpful
Hi, isn't wax paper great. I have many Spellbinder dies and my collection includes the same as yours, I used to have the same problem that's just the nature of many of Thier intricate dies often the dies have so much beautifull detail they are a bit fussy to remove the die cut, wax paper is fine or you can run a flat item under the inner edge between the die and die cut . I paid 26.oo For mine in cad dollers your lucky but everything is cheaper in the us🙂
Yes, I know this is years ago but still like watching people's thinking on making these kits.
This is a true stash kit. I now am trying just page kits so I don't have so many decisions when I sit down to scrap.
If you just run a spoon handle under the inside if the circle you will have no trouble, if you have the Spellbinder toolin one, there is a small blue tool which is just for that problem.
Is the wax side against the die?
sandrahelenes It doesn’t matter which way you put the wax paper. It’s easy on both sides. 🤗
Nice page and the video is well done!
