Walking Again: The Sequel (With Fewer Limbs)
I'M BACK BABYY!
There's been a lot on the go behind the scenes lately, between learning how to walk again, a toddler and a teething baby.. I've been busy to say the least. I've only been able to edit here and there so it's been tough to get this vid finished but I'm so glad to finally have it done for you!
I've started up some new socials if you want to see more of what I'm up to!

My "Z-plasty" scar surgery *GROSS* (Burn Survivor | Amputee)
Переглядів 954 місяці тому
*BLOOD WARNING - THIS IS A SURGICAL VIDEO* I don't plan on making a lot of content like this (or so I hope), I know it's a little more intense than the type of video I typically upload but it is a part of my journey nonetheless. If you've got the stomach to sit through the whole video, I commend you lol. Editing this made me nauseous.

I spoke to DOZENS of medical professionals... in my underwear? - Burn Conference (Burn Survivor)

This footage was recorded nearly a year ago for the 2nd Annual Burn Education Day, held at the QE2 Hospital (where I was treated for my burns). I was given permission to record beforehand, but the audience had no idea that I had planned an elaborate prank. This talk was done in front of dozens of medical personnel, which was also recorded and sent to hundreds more. Please make my embarrassment ...

If in the future you picture yourself happier and more optimistic, here's a great place to start! I consider myself a pretty positive person, especially having gone through some daunting stuff. From the 3rd degree burns over almost a quarter of my body to lower leg amputation, I've still managed to keep a smile on my face (most of the time) and you can too! The truth is, I started off in the wo...

    Hey man great video! I’m at the 5 month mark after a full rupture of my Achilles tendon. Obviously a different injury but Some very similar physio exercises and learning to walk again. Stairs are the worst for sure. Having a great physiotherapist saved me too. Shoutout to Jordan from UPEI Reactive Health. Keep up the great work!

    You are lucky man with the lower level of pain. I had my leg amputated last November below knee and have had a pretty rough time with nerve pain and phantom limb pain. Hasnt really changed or improved in months, so ive kinda made peace that this is likely the new normal going forward. Wish you all the best in your recovery

      I really am lucky, it did get quite a bit worse a couple of weeks after this video but luckily it’s pretty well under control now. It was about a two week stint where it was nonstop and I’m very grateful for where I am now. I wish you the best as well and hope there’s something that can be done about your pain.

    I still keep my hospital traumas for myself. PTSD.... when I got blisters on my fingers, drs assumed I had a 2nd degree frostbite. The next day I was diagnosed with 3rd and 4th grade frostbites. Lost my fingers. One and a half years later, in the middle if the summer, same thing happened with the toes on one foot. I was diagnosed with Burger's. Than the second foot... after all that I finally demand CTA, just to find out it was a wrong diagnosis again.. also, pain from surgeries, as the surgeon did not wait for spinal anesteshesia to kick in before the cuts... bad surgeries (8 minute transmetatarsal amputation that left free floating bone fragments)... experiments that went bad as well on initial surgeries and caused several complete dislocations with a lot of time in a cast and on crutches that destroyed my shoulders. CRPS in both feet. Went to WORK in another country to try to solve the problem in a 'modern' health system. Didn't work as well. 2 years of hell and disappointment. I am a completely new person now. Completely isolated myself because I can't stand seeing people uncomfortable if I don't manage to hide my pain. Amputation below the knee was an option. But...i think my mind is too gone and it is too late for that. Official scores (0-100): quality of life - 1.56. Pain (1-10): usual is 8,25, with peaks estinated at 9,46. I hope you recover and regain your quality of life. And, thank you for sharing your story!

    • @Therealnatephoenix
      @Therealnatephoenix 6 місяців тому

      Holy cow that's quite the journey! I'm sorry to hear of all you've been through, sounds like you could use a break. Being in that kind of pain really can change you but your mind is only as far gone as you believe it to be. Maybe you aren't where you hoped or expected to be but in my experience that is temporary so long as you don't give up. The second you decide it's over, you're right. I believe that you have it in you to face life again, no matter what that looks like. You've been through a hell of a lot and you're still here, you made it through all of that. I'm proud of you!
