But at least it's a decent showcase for Maine's hospitality industry. Just miss Bill's in-depth reporting and connection to the communities.

No we didn’t depart from BMC. Never. Walked down the driveway one morning with wife and father in law to see what time restaurant opened and was told by Steve, at 11:00. It was 10:50 and he made us feel unwelcomed because we were not campers. He walked away, we walked away probably will not ever go back and we are just down the street. Sorry he’s gone. At 3 to 400 a night, over priced.

I remember leaving bald mtn rd and riding to Pittsburgh NH. After crossing the Connecticut lake we pulled in to a store to fuel up. The people in the store asked where we came from and we told them Oquossoc and they said no ******way. We said yes way. That was in the very early 80s. Just not the same anymore. Notice the question about bald mtn camps wasn’t really answered. Probably not from Maine.
