One of my favorite movies. I think it got a bad rap because it was a movie that wasn't afraid to be what it was in an era where movies were trying to be as realistic as possible. As a matter of fact, most uses of CGI at the time was in service of making things look real so to anyone who wasn't a kid, a movie where the CGI was in service to helping it look like a cartoon with people in it was jarring. I remember the review I read when I was 12 when it came out saying it was Teletubbies with cars and while I get that, I was also wondering what movie that guy was watching lol The acting, writing, and especially directing going length to adhere to the 'show don't tell' rule, was great.

I think the music would probably work for a The Batman movie with the Joker, but sadly Todd Philips already did that.

Dunkirk is also structured around time. Prestige is his best movie , though

I dont think the ads showed it was mainly action i think it was showing what type of batman we are dealing with, it shows how brutal he can be and that he doesnt mess around, it also shows that he isnt a god hes a human, he gets hit multiple times and we see that it actually affects him, its hard to show what type of batman we are dealing with without spoiling the story except the way he fights, they all fight different in their own way, this one is so brutal at times its suprising to see they arnt dead

This isn’t the most Batman movie because of course this was his first year. Batman walked straight through the front doors of iceberg lounge and he villains could hear him coming…..that’s not Batman but there were also things that did make him Batman. We’ll see with the second film comes out.

i love your editing style and fully agree with every point you made in this video. as much as i dislike the scene with the joker at the end, this film still gets a 10/10 from me because everything else is perfection. it's so refreshing to see that level of care and attention to detail in a superhero movie after so many soulless cash grabs. can't wait to see how they incorporate clayface into the sequel.
