@@JasonWW2000 it was about 50/50…half were impressed but the other half I don’t think realized how impressive it really is because they were coming from massive builds with multiple 12s,15s, and 18s.

sure he knows that .think he like making the small subs sound and if scored low hz bass compared to being high loud bass and db nit that far apart we expect the two twelve to be pushing 140 to 150 db but a 6.5 pushing 140 db below 40 & 35 hz thats great

12’s of the same sub in a box to have that bandwidth would need ALOT of power and would start getting muddy. The purpose of a 6th is to increase efficiency and output throughout the frequency range. So where your ported box will play 28 - 46 (estimated by octave) the 6th will play from 22 - 55hz with limited fall off, roughly -3db to -10db magnitude depending on the sub selection. A 6th only really falls off dramatically after 4hz - 5hz below your rear tuning and roughly 2hz - 3hz above your front chamber tuning. Bandpass enclosures are much different animals than Ported enclosures, I was doing a 147db @24hz with my single Soundqubed HDX3 15 in a 6th order however there really was no fall off in the ranger that i played. When I did a ported box tuned at 27hz I could play crazy low and did 150.1db at 24hz however after about 36hz i began to fall off. I have done 4th, 6th, 8th, ported, Horn, sealed, and Infinite baffle builds just seeing how all sounded and yes ported is great to get loud easily, just there is much more in audio than just trying to be a one note wonder. I complete in musical runs so finding the best trade offs was paramount.

Those boxes are meant to get really loud. Just as loud as ported but much better bandwidth so some frequencies seem louder
