There's also the didgeridoo
yes, the title is at the maximum length that youtube allows, that's why it isn't in the title, the guy playing was very talented though
Darbuka players have very strong fingers it’s just so cool when they make those pop sounds it’s like it sounds so crisp and sharp it’s just amazing.
@@amarsodnompil7136 haha thanks appreciate the kind words 🙏🏼 it’s just practice and repetition
No problem
When you pop the drum it sounds almost like a snap very clean sound you have your hands and fingers are like rocks probably because you developed strength in your hands and fingers and that’s good.👍
@@amarsodnompil7136 you’re too kind, but in all honesty my hand strength is average, it’s more so a playing technique than raw strength. Thanks for the support, always nice to get positive comments 🙏🏼
@@poetic.percussion oh ok
Wow very cool
@@amarsodnompil7136 thank you 🙏🏼
Not so noticeable on my end
the camera's mic doesn't do the difference much justice, but the more expensive is definitley more resonant, cheaper handpans are still great tho imo
How do you like it so far? I am thinking of getting this particular one or do you better for the price
@@cisoflores kindly ignore the last comment I thought it was a different product review video altogether. So yes this e kit works great, and I got it since it’s affordable. Best
Did you know that this rhythm here at Brazil it's used for the construction of the Funk Brasileiro? It's the exactly rhythm.
Cool to know what different rhythms are used for, this one is also used a lot in Arabic music and middle eastern dance
@diverse_percussion how many years this rhythm exist?
@ I asked ChatGPT and it said maqsoum rhythm has been around for hundreds of years
Because, this rhythm here (Brazil) has less then 100 years, so less, I don't know exactly.
@@poetic.percussion omg!!! It's older than I thought!! Thanks so much and changing the topic, is my English good? I'm no using any tools. Further, you got a new subscribe!!

inspiring as usual, keep on my friend
@@hossamgamal999 Good to hear from you 🫡, thank you for the support 🙏🏼 more videos to come
How do you turn it on
@@NUGGETONVR4 must be connected to a power source, then there’s an on button. Volume must be set too, best
Wow!

Yes it has MIDI compatibility, I just never personally tested it

I'm want to buy one for my autistic son. He loves musical instruments and I think he would love this. Could you help me with the middle of the road price but don't know how expensive they are
@@kerryduck2599 Hey thanks for the comment. So, for reference the expensive one was slightly over 1000 and purchased second hand. The cheaper one was roughly 400 Canadian dollars on Amazon. They were on sale this past Black Friday too for even cheaper. I will say that the expensive one does sound nicer, but the cheaper one still does the trick. Now, there is a similar type of drum called “steel tongue drum” and they are slightly similar to the handpan. These steel tongue drums can be played with mallets or hands, are much smaller, but much cheaper too (50 to 100 bucks on Amazon). You can find some with good reviews on Amazon, and they generally sound nice (handpans still sound a bit cooler tho). The choice is yours, I hope that this helped 🙏🏼🙏🏼 thanks again.
keep it up man🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇

Does it come with double pedals?
@@EliJohnaon hey 1 pedal for the hi hat and 1 pedal for bass drum, that’s it
Might pick one up soon, holding up good? Nice drumming too
@@avanti488 hey thanks! Yea it’s holding up just fine, it does need an amp to play without headphones, if you decide to buy. Best!
@@poetic.percussion Thanks alot, I'm really looking to get started on a budget and this drum kit seems perfect 😊
Bought me a Darbuka, never played before, any recommends on videos to start with?

@@kennyfinger8306 glad it was helpful 🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@poetic.percussion Definitely. I’ve been playing drums for years, mostly rock set and also a lot of djembe, but darbuka is completely new for me. The technique is really difficult, but it’s starting to click a little for me. Your video was really helpful.
@@kennyfinger8306 that’s interesting because I’m just starting to learn drum set and it’s not a cake walk. They have some overlap but are very different. Best of luck and thanks for the comment 👊🏼
@@poetic.percussion Yeah, very different, but they do compliment each other in some ways. Stick with it, drum set is a blast. Best wishes!!
Nice to see it live instead of just photos. Thanks.
Most welcome! It's a decent tool!
ngl the donner is an underrated company they're cheap and good quality
@@JustZeroe donner is an awesome entry level option, thanks for the comment 🙏🏼✅
that’s cool , I usually prefer to use my fingers instead of palms , I didn’t have a teacher mostly self -taught
Thank you 🙏🏼 palms are needed for bass and slap notes, everything else is mostly fingers ✅
@@poetic.percussion yes indeed I may find a teacher to improve my skills, thanks
@@anthonyabba7603 hey UA-cam is a great and free resource. I did have a teacher for a bit, but I learned mostly from UA-cam in 2010 before there were a lot more videos on here. Teachers are great too! Which ever you decide, have fun drumming 🙏🏼
Is it Turkish split finger? I've heard the origin of the technique was adopted from the Indian Tabla. I'm just wondering and trying to learn...
From what I understand, the tabla players invented it first with the right hand only, and a Turkish player invented a way to play the technique with both hands interlacing. They are different, the Turkish players evolved it and refined it. But anyone can play any technique in my opinion, drumming is meant to be fun
@@poetic.percussion Thank you for the information! Yes definitely, as long as you are having fun there is no wrong way to play.
