This is a very nice size knife for an every use small fixed blade. I want one of these as an all around carry knife for defense as well as tasks that my folder isn't suited for. One thing I think you are getting wrong is your interpretation of firearm carry. We don't carry firearms in the US because they are cool. We carry them so that in the event we need to protect ourselves, our family, or those arounds us, we have every advantage afforded to us by the constitution. I wouldn't ever push for someone to carry a firearm if they aren't comfortable, but I also wouldn't state it as anything other than a duty to ourselves and others. In my state, the mall that I grew up going to was attacked by a crazy person. Just prior to that event Constitutional Carry was passed and luckily a guy was taking advantage of the new rules to carry while with his girlfriend at the mall. The bad guy took out a few people but then the good guy stopped him from a considerable distance with his CCW. He saved many people including himself and his girlfriend from additional harm.

I can tell you as a machinist that the "champher" was done with a deburring hand tool, by someone who did not know what he was doing. Also the finish on that pivot hole looks rough too. I would of thrown that out as scrap if I was making it. Send it back to the manufacturer.

It's an ESEE 3 clone. I have an ESEE 3 clone made by Brother/Watchman....the Brother F016. Same shape, but uses D2 steel and G10 scales. An EDC fixed blade is far more capable then a folder IMO.

Half the knives you have I have. My next knife on the purchase is the vision fg. Idk which one to get. I bought two Kershaw bel airs in carbon fiber…. It’s so smooth. Sexy and can’t beat the price for what you get, $150 for aluminum and I got my carbon fiber one for $166. Right timing on Amazon.

I love my Griptilian. My main beater work knife. Grabbed it from the Benchmade factory store in Portland. Best deal in that entire building. I put some AWT scales on mine to make it a bit fancier
