Just tried me some axe and the oak cask strength and I will say I would try more of their stuff. It is a distinct flavor but I am happy with it and would be willing to try something else from them!
We STILL can’t find the “cinnamon toast crunch” of Barrell!!! (Orange label) That was DELICIOUS!
Helmet and a seat belt 😉😘
Giant bottle? It's actually 700ml instead of 750. They are great looking bottles and I think they are the best Woodford product on the market... just dramatically over priced. Since Fred Minnick and Bourbon Junkies both called it middling they just sit on shelf in my area. Actually, those reviews seem to be impacting the whole line because I find 124.7, 121.1, and the Sonoma Blend sitting around everywhere for MSRP. Some stores have had the same 2 bottles on shelf for at least 3 weeks and that NEVER happens with LEs in my area. Could also be that the bourbon craze is slowing, at least for non-Sazerac products. 2024 has been an interesting year for whiskey so far. The releases have felt a step behind the 2023 releases and Sazerac has been releasing more bottles to the wild. Winds strongly point to 2024 being the bubble bursting year and 2025 being a great year for those to stick around. I think the market and collectors hit a saturation point. Enough people finally got their hands on some of these highly allocated bottles and realized available $50-70 picks are as good, if not better. That's my assessment. After 500 different pours and probably 100 different blind flights I've come to the conclusion most bottles over $100 are not worth the added cost or effort... But yeah I still buy stupid stuff on occasion. I'll pay over $100 for the JD14 if I get a chance and same for the next Russels age stated (13 or whatever they do). What I'll never do is pay over MSRP for an allocated bottle again.
I didnt even notice.
I love the woodford reserve!
I'm interested in hearing your opinion and what you have to say, but unfortunately I can't. Your vocals are too low and the music is too loud.
I'll get it re-edited and reposted
sir i am following your youtube channel constantly your content is very nice but your video is not going viral due to some mistakes in your optimization if you want i will show your mistakes and help you can i talk to you
I’m sorry but Weller is shite…..8-10 years ago when it was a budget shelfer it was good, but honestly with normal inflation and especially secondary it’s pretty mid.
I think theres better bourbons for the money... but I'd drink it ahead of any of the "college bourbons" (Jack Daniels no7, Jim Beam (white label) or the standard Wild Turkey)
@@PourDecisionsbourbon I completely agree. It is much better than those, but when you start to look at things like WT 101/Rare Breed, Jack BiB, JB 7 year/Knob creek the conversation changes. I think all of those bottles are on par with most Weller releases, and maybe I’m biased because of artificial scarcity and manufactured hype that Buffalo Trace openly encourages at this point but I really am very underwhelmed by Weller these days.
Lol, I’ll give you an A for effort but this is not a good review video.
can't take a review seriously when dude in red doesn't even know what bottle that is lmao
Dear Sir UA-cam is very good medium to promote your business group if you want to reach your target audience with your videos then it can be done through google ad camping
Haven't seen a gold for less than $250 anywhere.
It's high in a lot of places, but I got a couple of places that I can get it for $65-$75
170 for a "regular" Blanton's is way too much. That's almost list price for the gold or SFTB bottles.
Blanton's here in Gaffney is going for $169.99. Too rich for my blood. Another great video, guys.
Another great review. Good job, guys
I use sugar cubes, bourbon aged bitters from Bitter Housewife, and for now, Walmart's cocktail cherries with either Bulleit or Evan BIB.
Interesting that you both ranked the Henry McKenna over the Eagle Rare, based on reputation alone I would have expected the Eagle to be the favorite. The McKenna has been almost impossible to find down here since it won whiskey of the year in 2019. I have also gotten bubble gum notes while nosing bourbon before. It is such an oddly specific aroma, I wonder what combination of flavor compounds is responsible for it.
its interesting that our taste may change from day to day on what we like better.... I would say pizza or taco, but more like pizza with pepperoni or supreme ... depends on the day and mood
I'm looking forward to trying Heaven Hill.
I’d be drunk already. I’m a lightweight. Great review and video.
We were drunk already. That was like the fifth episode we shot that afternoon
Good day~ bravo! you made super recording. take it easy~=))
😂 Powdered sugar!!
These videos are fun, Mike.

Excellent testing guys
Finally! A bourbon show thats funny honest and not pretentious! Another episode please!
I’ve got a poor decision that involves bourbon, hot wings and a midnight jog through a bad neighborhood…
Everything is better with bacon
Is the one with the sweaty sock after taste the Willy Wonka Special?
Out of all those, I'll pick Evan every day.
Drinking bourbon is hard. Well put.
How’s the 15 and 18. I’ve had the other two
Mike is not so basic now ?? Lol
We are doing our best to run the whole board with the variety of bourbons... not just the snobby ones
@@PourDecisionsbourbon Mike has never been snobby...or basic ! Cool podcast !
Great show guys, looking forward to the next one. Maybe next time you can include a closer look at the labels for us whiskey nerds!
Hey Dean! We are working out the bugs and changed the format a little for the second round of videos
