Wasit a minute... Didn't you just celebrate Thanksgiving? No fair, I want 2 Thanksgivings too. Oh my, I was a-gobblin' now I am indeed a-wobblin' I so full (BURP!) I can hardly wait for next year to roll around again. Had an odd thing happen to me in the Walmart. I'm in line and a lady comes up to me asking me for help to purchase a 'few' things. I told her I had no cash (I weaned myself of the cash habit). I could tell she was maybe a little anxious that perhaps I'd think her 'few' things would be a bit much. I told her to get in line ahead of me. It came out to be $121 USD or so. She said she just gotten fired and wanted Thanksgiving for her kids. Couple of things come tomind. Do I have and invisibe "L" on my forehead or an "S" (sucker) on my forehead or an "S" on my chest (not likely) I put the purchase on a card with a 10 times higher balance that I plan on doing a balance transfer on for 0% until next December. She's "God blessing" me profusely. I told her I've been where she is before. I kept the reciept because these days you never know. So she doesn't know who I am. There's just too much info on that reciept. You are but an entry, a GUID(s) in a vast set of SQL tables. Those especially that QR and bar codes. I've seen how that shit works. 😎😎🙏🙏

Thanks for that memory, but my family splintered when mom died and we stopped gathering. I stayed home and had left over chili because I had deer meat that had to be used so made a big pot a few days ago. I did get one phone call from my daughter who lives overseas to check in on me. In our conversation she taught me something I never learned in all my years. Ya know how we always hear that blood is thicker than water? Well it seems the original meaning of that is: The blood of the battle field makes bonds stronger than the water of the womb. Her therapist told her that anyway. But it makes sense. You cannot control who you are born to and those ties might not be so good for you. But the comrade in arms who fights beside you and you protect each other is a strong and binding tie not to be broken easily. Who knew? Happy Friendsgiving to all. For much of my life, I was the one who made the deviled eggs. They did not like my Jello Molds. Anyway every year I would boil a dozen eggs, cut them in half and make two dozen deviled eggs. And no one hated those. I would make half plain and the other half some variation and those usually went first. One year I added bacon bits, another year finely diced onions, etc. You get the picture. Funny thing was I would never get one because they ate them all before I could carve the turkey for my sister. So then I had to make 18 eggs and leave the extras at home for myself. Oh, and I always used a pastry tube with a fancy tip to put the yoke material back in with a swirl just to make them pretty. We eat with our eyes too don't we? Gotta go that extra mile for family right? PS don't add finely diced jalapenos unless your family is use to spicy foods! That year I got one or two to eat and a few complaints. I sure loved them though. Have fun folks. What do you expect from a single dad?

Nana I've decided I made it through my November of misery and until January 20th I'm going to try and forget we have more misery ahead of us. I need a break! Thanks for the holiday wishes. A grateful US fan.

Never did like that darn Shelia 😂😂😂😂 lol but I sure do miss the family sitting at a table to eat together .. my family barely ate and then went six ways 😔 I am thankful that my kids are here and no one had to travel but now the house is empty and quiet as they are housesitting , I watched the parade but can’t find the Rockettes on UA-cam will have to go see if anyones posted them yet Happy Turkey day Nana 🦃🤎

Thank you, Nana. Spent day with friends and family giving comfort to those living in fear about the USA future. We ate well, talked about our missing kin, reminisced about out past good times and looked forward to our united future. Can you believe not one nasty dish..a little spicy on one dish with complaints but it was also gobbled 😆up

Thanksgiving today was good. Gotta do it again on Saturday and that's gonna be less fun lol. I wanna be done cooking.

Despite Trump already having served one term, he still has no clue what he's doing, or what he's talking about. Shi. . . I mean STUFF, yeah stuff just pops into his head, and it flies out his mouth with nothing to stop it in between. As an American, I apologize to Canada. I voted for Kamala. Moat of us have already figured out that it's gonna be the American people that will ultimately end up paying the tariffs, because Trump never bothers to think a single thing through or consider any of the consequences.

Thank you for the greeting. Yes… it’s Thanksgiving. Nana, I didn’t mention this in the past. I volunteer as a chaplain at the New York Presbyterian Hospital. Not a priest or ordained minister, just a mechanical engineer who is a retired subway transit worker. I do this to give back… help others. Thanksgivings, I volunteer at the hospital to spend some time with the patients. So important… to listen. So many have no visitors. I must say that the staff at the hospital are wonderful, going out of their way make the patients comfortable and as happy as possible. Two patients who didn’t have any flowers, cards had hand drawn turkeys that were drawn by one of the nurses. I learned that the New York Columbia Presbyterian Hospital was rated “the best “ in New York City for the 10th year in a row. I’m not surprised. In ending, let’s remember all those who don’t have a family (or a family who doesn’t care about them), those who are lonely, troubled with illnesses, those who have no one to pray for them. I unvited many family and friends, so I'm sure I'll have a great Thanksgiving. You see I'm the main cook when it comes to all the holidays. I'm the one that provides the tradional festive meals they so enjoy. Not this year, I'm keeping it low key with some members of my family who are aware of my reasons for the drastic change. I FAFO many of them and I feel no quilt. 😊 🇺🇸💙💙🇵🇷

"Guests [incl family!] and fish start to smell after 3 days" was a common expression in _my_ family, too(!). Silly facts: American Thanksgiving (4th Nov Thursday) & Canadian Thanksgiving (2nd Oct Monday) fall "in-sync" - _e.g._ this year's 14 Oct & 28 Nov are both the latest possible dates for those respective holidays. AND... more Americans _travel_ for Thanksgiving than the entire population of Canada ! Cheers

The thing that makes you drowsy is all the inevitable and delicious carbs! We're not doing our formal Thanksgiving until my brother-in-law gets out of hopital. He went in on Monday and was diagnosed with leukemia. We're all still very thankful that there's been much improvement in just this few days with his initial treatment! We've all been texting today. Edit: I've been doing Black Friday shopping from my desk chair!

My Thanksgiving dinner is not all that since my 2 son-in-laws both are Trumpers and my oldest daughter has drank the kool-aid and my youngest daughter and I have to watch our peas and Q's and not mention anything about the Mango Moose.🤨

I ignore the mmk and his uglyness. I live with friends and I cookall day yesterday and we ate like piggies today. We'll go back to it again in a few hours. We may not have a lot, but we have enough. We are blessed. We thank you, Lord, for what and how you've blessed us.
