    Utinni Army I have a couple questions: 1 If the fabric is pre-dyed, should you still wash it? 2 How do you determine how much fabric you should buy?

    • @utinniarmy3503
      @utinniarmy3503 4 роки тому

      Hi ashaw979797 you should always wash your fabric before you make anything. Before washing monkscloth always put the zig-zag stitch on the raw edge no matter what. The general rule for how much fabric to buy is 1 yard per foot you are tall plus one. I am 5’ tall so I would use 6 yards of fabric. Hope this helps :)

    How long of a piece did you use for your hood? What are the brown dimensions

    • @utinniarmy3503
      @utinniarmy3503 4 роки тому

      Mason, the hood is going to be different depending on the size of the person. Generally speaking the hood dimensions should be 16" deep and 19" high when sewn. However, for a taller or smaller person it is acceptable to make it bigger or smaller-- it's all about size ratio and making it look proportionate to the rest of the costume. Hope that helps
