I have a tape of the Neon Mickey Canadian VHS Tapes of American Heroes from 1983 that has (after the Walt Disney and You promo finishes) a very super long black screen, that goes for 16 minutes and 53 seconds. Even on 1985 Canadian VHS of Five Mile Creek Volume 4, had 17 mins and 33 seconds longest black screen, right after Five Mile Creek Volume 5 trailer ends. On 1984 Canadian VHS of DTV: Golden Oldies had longest black screen for 15 and half Mins

My 2003 VHS of Tom and Jerry: Hijinks and Shrieks had a 40 minute longest black screen at the end

Kinda reminds me of someone on Twitter who’s copy of the original 1993 mail-order VHS of VeggieTales: Where’s God When I’m S-Scared? abruptly ended when Junior shouts “Aaaah! It’s Frankencelery!” He was able to fix it though.

A weird closing on a warner bros vhs??

I got an original 1982 Betamax (not VHS) of “A Walt Disney Christmas” off of eBay, and the only downside is that it has a vertical roll problem. I did checked the opening that it has “For Sale Only - Not Intended For Rental” screen, the blue FBI screens and the 1978 “Neon Mickey” logo.

It sounds like the original owner of the tape didn't like the white screen of death, so he decided to cut off some of the tape reel so he didn't have to see it.

Underneath the Emerson vcr is the Toshiba SD V296 VCR DVD Combo. Did it have tape eating issues beau?

I have 2 copies of the original tape and one has the wsod only and the other has wsod and moaning sound. The 2 waycs are the same as this one and the 50th week of 1988. I also have 2 copies of the 2002 20th anniversary print one being the regular printed in the 38th week of 2002 and the other being a avon copy printed Oct 30 2002 and aug 15 2002.
