ua-cam.com/video/DmN3muJC6Oc/v-deo.html Much better vid w/o all the commentary. Short and sweet by a skilled professional!
Primes brand name came from meaning number one or first
There is no perfect stove. These are both winners. Both have their disadvantages too. Kind of unfair to have the Coleman sitting their waiting to boil while the XGK was priming. Time doesn't wait. By the time you got the MSR assembled and primed, the Coleman would have been close to a full boil. BUT.... that's what I mean by "no perfect stove". If your 533 doesn't simmer, it needs a tune up on the cleaning/regulating wire. They can be touchy, but can simmer VERY well and are quiet, even at full power. The XGK's ability to burn damn near anything is a big deal if you are going on a long journey. BOTH are great stoves.
You can do exactly the same thing with a sterno stove. Try it sometime make a video thanks friend.
Enjoyable hotpot! 😊😊
Yes it was!
Just got mine out after 20 years (took it to Africa)..apart from a musky smell..looks like new!
Hi everyone,it's a lot easier if you put the crossbow between your legs while sitting down, lean it to the right, and apply pressure, with your free hand slip on the string,it literally takes seconds without a great deal of effort, This all came about when I bought this crossbow and struggled for 10 mins, watched UA-cam videos no fuking help whatsoever,so I sat down and studied the bloody thing, and I came up with this idea,it's so fuking simple when you know how, just use your fuking brain and apply logic and you will always get the job done, anyway enough said,i wish you all ❤and happiness and stay safe everyone.😊
At least make a traget from cardboard or something.
says "daiwa" mate like the most high end brand of rods
Cheers it did look like it but i didn't want to say
Good i like my friends
Thank you very much
Thanks for the mention ❤
Looking beautiful after all the rain! Can't see the wood for the trees! 🌲🌳Thanks for checking the chooks 🐓🐓👌👌
Nice video. I would have liked to see a burner flame control test, maximum vs. low simmer comparison. I purchased one of these XKG Stoves as a USMC surplus. It has the reflective plate roarer burner like the Optimus with the Nova burner, or a bigger version of the 8R/SVEA 123 burner. I purchased the Bernie Dawg dampener cap to quiet it down and help with better simmer control. It is quieter and the cap seems to give it much better flame control.
These burners are also called Trangia stoves, it looks like a knock off version you have here, maybe not I cant see the bottom of the burner properly but hey its a tin with some holes in it.😂
This video saved my life. I couldn't find any propane this winter, and I remembered this exact video. I was able to get 91% at Safeway. Thank you friend.
Glad it helped!

That’s a thing of beauty.
It’s not rocket science but why do all the work with the saw blade blocking what you’re doing to tension it!
Excelente cocinilla, pequeña y práctica. Delicioso bistec.
The boil tests are approximate even when using the same pots which wasn't the case here. The broader the pot generally the less heat is lost and the construction of the pot does make a difference also with respect to conduction. You could probably reverse the results if you had different pots. You can say that they are in the same ball park so BTU output differences are not significant. The stoves are clearly for quite different use cases too. I like to use kerosene for instance and also if you do run a long time having the fuel under the burner can mean that the fuel tank gets very hot which is not desirable whereas you can run the XGK as long as you have fuel. The XGK can't simmer well, the Coleman can simmer.
So, from what I can gather there's several different brands with the same model crossbow? Your Anglo Arms 80lb crossbow looks exactly like my EK 80lb crossbow and I think I've seen another exactly same model from a brand called Cobra
Why do you choose the XGK? My understanding of that stove is that it is extremely reliable even when burning vehicle fuels but that it burns so hot with no simmer at all and is only really for boiling? The Whisperlite Universal seems better for civilian use, as it is already far quieter and also lighter while burning canister fuel with a simmer for proper cooking and even getting some level of milder flame for some degree of simmering even when using white gas or Kerosene, plus can still burn unleaded if necessary
Where is this place?
A great getaway to the wood, love the bird song too 👍11
💜💜love Blewits
Awesome video, have a great day. New friend here.
Thank you Dave more to come
Outstanding , take care @@MrMeltedwellies
Add less pumps for a better simmer. Do say 20 pumps instead of 30.
Naptha is basically lighter fuel you put in your zippo, I've an even older Primus from WW1, that's 100% complete even has it's paperwork, runs lovely on paraffin.
Very very helpfull indeed. And bizarrely, I'm parked up in my work van, right in front of me are 6 White Birch. Never even heard of them before. So yes I've taken a few loose shards off the trunks. It pulls off very easily indeed. Can't wait to try it out on my next camp in the woods. 👍
Thanks for watching and comment
I have one along with a MSR Whisperlight and a Trangia. Depends on temperature what I use. Works well in the cold.
I really wish you guys wouldn't call it that. We have a serious problem with another kind of "meths" here in the states
Just ordered a stainless steel set for my apartment. Plastics leach, glass and stoneware breaks and is dangerous. This is my solution.

I love giant bovist pizza, in Europe the mushroom is usually only eaten as giant bovist schnitzel. I'll have to try the thing with the tomato paste, cheese and tomatoes, then I won't need pizza tomatoes. greetings from Germany
Thank you for the comment, I'm still European! ATB from Shropshire UK 👍

@@carstenzierden no worries! Greetings!
Still use my trusty Boa after 20 years. Still waterproof, no bad stitching, bombproof tent. Bit heavy but it's totally reliable, and perfect for kiddy camping.
Good to know! Cheers!
