More current difference between curtain and draperies compared to Emily Posts 1950's version 🙂Curtains are fabric panels used to cover windows, and are generally cut to fit a window or drop a few centimetres below it. Drapes are also fabric panels but are generally made from thicker fabrics and cut to floor length or to slightly puddle on the floor.

I raised the dumb blind now it doesn't come back down. I pull on it but it doesn't Lower. Dumb design. Where's the cord. Don't fix what ain't broken. Geeze.

This is a helpful video… but you need to read your Emily Post. 😊. These are not draperies but curtains.

The illustration in the instructions shows hooking the FRONT of the blind into the front of the bracket first…..then snapping the REAR into the bracket. THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG - exactly BACKWARDS. FIRST - apply pressure to the REAR OF THE Blind head rail to the rear of the brackets. Then tilt the head rail of the blind up into the FRONT of the bracket and snap into the groove.

That didn't show measuring for T post's. Also, his tape was crooked.

I've been installing window shades for almost 40 years and I can tell you hands down, this is the worst designed Vertical Cellular on the market. The installation even for me is a nightmare!

It would have been helpful if you would have taken the time to show how to disconnect them.

What cord retainers. This is a nightmare to install. Cords were twisted and impossible to untangle, finally got them fairly straight, but there were no cord retainers and the cords droop down. The top headrail is in the groove, but there is nothing to snap the top in straight, so it has a slight tip down. If it didn’t cost so much I would pitch it. The directions are terribly inadequate.

Why would anyone every install a vertical cellular on any window? This product is made for door openings, not windows.

Too much tension as well… this is a nightmare. If you haven’t bought this product already… save yourself a headache and countless hours and DON’T! The cellular shades were easy… these are a disaster!

"Slide the Proper number of Cord Retainers" Well what the hell does that mean? 1 or 6 or 12????

I love the decorative rod. But you skipped over the part I wanted to know: how do you insert the pins into the pleated fabric? My curtains are pinch-pleat, but they came with big loops in the back; I guess the intent was to slide a rod through the loops, and not use traverse rods. I don't know what to do. But thanks anyway.

You can tear these slats into like a piece of paper. Not worth the aggravation to install them.

They make it look oh so easy, truth is if your casement isn't perfectly plumb and you're needing to install 3 brackets to support a longer blind, you will never get all three brackets to align and click. There is no "give", there is no margin. My casing sags in the middle, I'm going to attempt putting spacers on both ends and see if that helps. Working over a kitchen sink really adds to the frustration. I'm half ready to sink three washered screws right through the blinds themselves and go beat the bracket into oblivion in the driveway. I was hoping there'd be a solution here or at least one other person with the same problem. I'm not some weekend dyi'er, I've replaced everything from foundations to rafters and I struggle with this stupid design? Installing a center bracket has to be so precise that the drill bit wobble is enough that the brackets won't align. My next step is to elongate out the holes on the center bracket to make it adjustable. Why the factory has fixed holes defies logic.

And how do you remove the shade from that bracket???

I fucking hate these brackets. Still haven't gotten mine to latch.
