@SunstriderGames-cx7vr I used Bandana to progress through the mission faster and more proficiently. I have beaten all the Halo's several times on Legendary. My body of work when it comes to Halo 2 itself is the farthest thing from a noob player.

@@HimFPS Huh. That's actually similar to mine: H5>H2>HI>HCE>H3>HR>H2A>H4 Why do you put H4 above H2A, and CE as #1?

@@whisperedflame6952 I have never played a game that has a higher learning curve than HCE. Its also very mechanically demanding. If you have played the game at a high level you just "know". I debate with the H5 kids all the time about H2 vs H5. All I'm going to say is that I dont play the game anymore because, I started to develop carpal tunnel in 1.5 years of playing. I think Halo 2 is mechanically the highest skill ceiling, and that's nothing against H5. Those button combos however, are half a frame perfect, and they are an 8 button combo. Halo 5 imo definitely no question is the highest skill celling when it comes to movement. Shooting however is definitely not as hard as some of the other games. H2A imo is by far the easiest to shoot in, and any sort of awareness.

@@HimFPS Interesting. Thank you for sharing man, I was really curious as to what you thought since you've played all the games at a higher level. It'll help me explain the series better to my friends who are curious about Halo's comp scene. One more question, would you be able to share any relatively recent videos here on UA-cam that you know of that showcase Halo 1 being played at its highest level or at least as close as possible? Old tournament videos are good and all but I'm curious if there are any better quality ones.

@whisperedflame6952 I would suggest to watch "H1 Twisted" on Twitch. I think he is the best player in the HCE com rn. I'm washed af now, at any Halo ngl. Most of my content I upload is old. The thing about HCE is you either know how to play the game or you don't, it is a night and day difference. I mostly played in the Xbox era of MCC on HCE and H3. I also mostly play both H4 and H2A nowadays for a reason.

@Flashblade You can't do it. Why is it imperative that you get a checkpoint before picking it up.

@@HimFPS Understood. When I tried it, I got a checkpoint before picking up the IWHBYD skull. I picked it up then died almost instantly, but when I reverted to last checkpoint (which happened to be in the room where it spawns), the skull was no longer there. Thoughts?

@Flashblade I would play for a next checkpoint. Idk why you got a CP in the skull room. That's kinda weird, but Halo 2's CP system is so chalked. If it were me in that moment, I would be skeptical about that CP, especially being in the spawn room. I would kill all the enemies at Hotel Zanzibar and get that CP and come back. If you're trying to do this legit, make a little bunker like I did. I also had to RESTART the mission every time to get the skull to spawn when I was recoding this video.

And for people wondering why the odsts don't use Radio chatter and sound like they are in normal atmosphere was because I did have that be a thing before, but with them talking across the map, and you being able to hear it, it can get a bit annoying so do forgive me for not making it realistic. The tank and certain other addition aren't loyal to the design documents, but I put those in for entertainment value :)

If done right Halo remakes could be truly phenomenal, but if 343 is involved they’ll almost certainly find someway to ruin it. Also, if they were to make any changes to the sandbox just copy Ruby’s Rebalanced where the guy refined the sandbox, backported features form future games where appropriate, and did the same thing with cut/multiplayer content. Also, if they were to make any changes to the story it would be perfectly fine if they gave us Bungie’s original vision for Halo 2 where Truth’s plan made perfect sense, the Arbiter went through a complete character arc, and we would’ve gotten the “big reveal” that tied into what the Human Covenant War was started to cover up (infinity better story than Halo 3’s dumpster fire “narrative”).

I miss being surprised by stories, everything gets spoiled or shown beforehand.

There’s actually a few, they do call the halo a weapon and show the flood a few times in the trailer, but its not made to be the most visible thing in the trailer

Play Ruby’s Rebalanced if you want to experience the definitive version of CE. It’s like how Half-Life 2 MMod is the definitive version of that game/episodes.
