Chris, you still owe me from season 1…!
I think our elections are full of cheating, but if you don’t vote, ya better not bitch about what happens. Same is true if you vote for some off brand person that you know has absolutely NO chance of winning. That’s just dumb! Unfortunately we are only a two party nation.
I don’t think we should vote for the person. We should vote based on policy. For me, Republican policy and values at this time more align with my moral values. Whether I like the person or not, republicans most closely align with my values. No matter who wins the election, God is still on the throne!
You guys are killin me, the highest rated cocktail and no recipe on the website...
"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:37-40)
Faith alone in Christ alone. 🙏✝️
Christ means anointed
Amen myself need to get back to church
The Bible tells us to not stop meeting together as some do. You may not ‘need’ to go to church to go to Heaven, but God created ‘The Church’ to bring believers together for fellowship. We were created for fellowship, 1st with God and also with others.
Faith isn’t a place you go to. It’s how you feel on the inside. There’s no need to go to a church and listen to music and hear an old man speak when you can be at home, loving the lord and doing good. Quit treating Christianity like a cult
Totally agree.
Can we use Fruits of the Spirit as a gage? Example, how much joy do you have in your life? How much self control? If you have a good bit of it, I think that can count as success. Love what y'all are doing. Shout out from Alabama.
Yes and yes! Thanks for the southern support 😁🍻
My fav highlights: Loving someone is not to control them How can we learn compassion and trust in a vacuum?
Yeah, those were definitely challenging things to think about!
Check out Brene Brown her work on understanding anger sums up to the following "Anger is what we feel when something gets in the way of what we want or disrupts the way we think things are supposed to be. "
Oooh - we'll definitely look into that!
Ooooooo "Believing our own lie???" That makes so much sense. Do you think it also is self-validation (if that's a word)? ex: "Oh I don't drink, so of course I'm close to God? Or at least closer than those who do? "
Yeah, like the Pharisee praying about how awesome he was and the tax collector being honest before God (Luke 18).
I don’t disagree but at the same time, how do you reconcile that thought process with God’s word? If you believe the Bible is the inspired word of God that is.
Simple - Colossians 4:5-6. Stand up for truth in a way that is caring more about the other person rather than making a point. It's not easy, but it is the right thing to do.
Don’t agree with sin causing cancer, miscarriage or other horrible things that are not self-inflicted…look at John 9:2-3. Jesus said of the blind man that neither he nor his parents sins accounted for his blindness.
Shoeing that these duds are cherry-picking is that on the very next page in Genesis God says animals are for food
If you fake it until you make it, are you concerned about being seen as a disingenuous person?
That's definitely a possibility...
I have some of those same concerns as Kevin does. I think AI will end up being a major tool of the Antichrist. Hopefully as a Christian, the rapture will happen before we see the full effect of that. As far as taste buds/drinks, I think I fall somewhere between Kevin and Shaheen. Sorry Chris, your palate is a few notches above mine.
😏 'Promo sm'
My husband and I each own 3. I mostly agree with your opinions, but I think I definitely would fire at someone who I felt was a danger to my self, or who broke into my home(but also because I would feel like I'm protecting my self. I certainly feel less safe in "gun free zones", too! And yes I wish more people carried. I also think rather than teachers carrying, schools should be able to have armed security guards.
Definitely agree on the security guards in schools! It would provide more safety for our kids, and probably help employ returning vets in a meaningful way.
What's the Larry Norman quote guys? Us 'old guys' that remember that flawed Jesus follower, because he spoke to a generation the truth of who Jesus IS..., want to know?!
It was along the lines of being criticized for writing "love songs" and then he responded with something about "Yeah, what does Jesus have to do with love?" in a sarcastic way 😂
Havardi is #1. I have to agree, Colby is a step above Kraft Singles. 😂 But to each his own
I think Kevin should eat some Limburger cheese. Then he could say ‘stank’!
Colby cheese +1. It’s only good to melt into dips of some sort, but you still need real cheese to go with it.
What’s so cool is God will use anything and EVERYTHING to connect with us. Secular music especially. He’s so awesome.
Poor Kevin … “He can’t chew it anymore.” 😂🤣😂. Kevin put your dentures in!😂
Amen
damn thats crazy ⛥⸸
Yall need to read your bible!!!
@EpicLifeTerrell We do - quite often actually. And we LOVE how much grace is emphasized, and self-righteous works and pride are not. We're so grateful for how much we read about a loving God loving people and instructing us to do the same.
@nathanporter3569 You want us to quote the entire Bible either in a short form video or a comment on said video? That would get long. But here's a few to get you started. Romans 3:20-28 (about grace), Galatians 5:1-12 (about not works), and 1 Corinthians 5:9-10 (about not holding unbelievers to the same standards).
This what I’ve been saying but worded way better
No God no love no point in nothing but lies
Amen
That Jesus guy also said go and sin no more. He also said there would be some that cast out demons who He never knew. I’m not advocating for self-righteousness, but Christ told us to preach His Word. Sometimes people will be offended by it. They were offended by Jesus too.
@BradySmale Seems to us that if people were offended, it was because they (religious leaders) were counting on their own good works and didn't like all that grace talk from Jesus. Before Jesus said to "Go and sin no more" he started off with "I don't condemn you." Maybe us Christians could try that on for size first, before we start pointing fingers.
@@letsdrinkthink Don't misunderstand me. The Pharisees, Sadducees, and chief priests were the epitome of self-righteous. Jesus said you need a righteousness greater than theirs which is Christ's alone. They proved their righteousness was the best man could do and all it produced was whited sepulchers. My disagreement with your statement is that you can both preach the Word of God and NOT be self-righteous. Jesus never said He didn't condemn them. Just the opposite. He called people dogs and hypocrites and children of the Devil. But He came just for those who knew they were sinners. He came for those who knew they were lost. Paul corrected Peter to the face because he needed it! That does not mean Paul was perfect! I do not believe just telling everyone that they are ok and just love God is being faithful to Christ's teachings. That sounds like 2 Timothy 4:3-4 - "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
@nathanporter3569 What words did we put in Jesus mouth? It's what He said to the woman caught in adultery in John 8. Have you read the Bible? And John 3 is about God's judgment for unbelief, not our judgment of people for not living up to a certain standard.
@BradySmale we're not suggesting telling everyone that their sin is ok and everything is all roses. We're advocating for what the early church decided at the Jerusalem Council in Acts 15 - to NOT making it difficult for Gentiles who are turning to God. We can preach truth in a loving, gracious manner that does everything possible (short of changing truth) to not offend people. If anything offends non-Christians, it should only be the Gospel. Unfortunately, many non-believers even get the chance b/c Christians are ungracious, self-righteous jerks.
@@letsdrinkthink so the council of Jerusalem showed us there were only a few things from the law that we as Gentiles must adhere to. Perhaps I’m missing context of this clip, but it seems that you said Christians are living in sin secretly and judging others sins. That is hypocrisy certainly. However the correct answer is for that hypocrite to repent and live a sincere life. I don’t believe everyone is a hypocrite. We are told that the spiritual man judges all things and is not judged himself. I’m just stating that you cannot equate anyone who preaches holy living as hypocritical because some ARE hypocritical. Jesus said everyone he loves he rebukes and chastens. So love is not blind acceptance. I’m against legalism and preaching personal convictions/ standards, but I disagree with the mindset that we should just accept people if they are living in open sin. At our church we have welcomed back two people in the last year who left in sin and repented. We should always be praying and loving them, but there are some sins that Paul told us we should not allow people to come to the church over. I assume you all are believers so I pray Gods blessings on you all. Continue to grow in grace!
Oh glad to hear some getting closer to truth of idea and not stuck with how feel etc
Amen!!! Praise be to our Lord and Creator God!!! Praise be to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!! Amen!!!
Says the person getting drunk drinking SPIRITS!! Lmfao!!! What an idiot you are
@thetrain5796 Hmmm, judge much? The main guy talking was drinking NA…so, that’s embarrassing…
@letsdrinkthink what's embarrassing is you talking like a 12 year old tiktok kid. You IDIOTS act like you have something spiritual to say with HARD LIQUOR in the background. Then you want me to believe it's non-alcoholic 😂😂😂😂😂😂 lmfao!! You're one of those who thinks they can live in sin as long as your sorry. Sorry kiddo but the oath is narrow and you definitely walk on the broad side. Quit telling people not to tell you that you live in sin. Yeah I judge people, I'm not perfect. However, I'm no fool like you who lives in such outward sin while thinking they can preach to others. You probably smoke cigarettes too 😂😂😂😂😂
@@letsdrinkthink😂😂😂😂😂😂 I just realized what the name of your channel is 😂😂😂😂😂 you really are an idiot 😂😂😂😂😂 lmfao!!!! Good luck with Jesus big guy
@thetrain5796 Great comments here - really epitomizing Jesus, huh? Keep being judgmental - we're gonna keep being gracious.
Still standing, y'all. 😂
Whoop whoop!
Because we didnt have parents who took us to church so we dont know we are terrifed of it burning if we walk in and then killing all those people or being killed who knows whats in a church thing
Why would a church burn down if you entered it how did you come to the conclusion?
@jenniferscott3176 We guarantee it won't burn down. None of us are even remotely close to perfect people, and our church hasn't burnt :)
Cuz theyre stressed.
shitting on people that haven’t gone to church yet is insane 😂😂
Who was doing that? We're saying that Christians have caused a lot of problems for people with their unreasonable judgments - so much so, that people don't even want to go to church. If anything, we're agreeing that people who don't go to church probably have a good reason. We're just trying to change their experience going forward...
If that’s your number one evidence of god, you shouldn’t be religious. In a world without god you’d expect the exact same thing as that happens right now. People are animals that have some number of evolutionary advantages that helped us to survive, including persevering in hard times. It’s just what all species do.
We didn't say it was our #1 evidence. It's just more evidence. It's true that some people have an extremely strong willpower and can adapt easier. It's also true that there are situations in life that are beyond our ability to endure. We've discovered that a relationship with God can make an incredible difference in those instances.
I enjoy your podcast so much and I heard it all 😂 I listened on Spotify but I enjoy playing it on UA-cam as well.
@jasperwhitley8240 YES! We have a winner! Send us an email to hello@letsdrinkandthink.com with your name and address and we'll get your gift card in the mail!
lol I thought you were going to say you could be around it with out drinking it or without running from other people drinking it around you. Drinking it is something completely different because to some Christians drinking it is the sin. Period.
To some it might be, but it doesn't need to be for all.
No sir. God said that you are not to be drinking
Where?
@@letsdrinkthink Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. Romans 14:21 - It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
@lucaswhite3411 still haven’t given any proof saying that alcohol is explicitly wrong in all situations for Christians. Proverbs is about drinking too much and losing your senses. Romans is about not using Christian liberty if it causes believers with weak faith to stumble. And the last is about drunkenness. Try again.
@@letsdrinkthink those verses are proof. And Proverbs did not say what you feel, it said that wine is a mocker God didn't say if you overindulge and no in the epistle to the Romans God is telling you not to do this. In Galatians he said being a drunkard is a sin. Y'all need to stop twisting God's word to make your sin ok. It's not.
@lucaswhite3411 until you give concrete, applicable evidence, it’s not a sin for everyone in all situations.
That guy has alcoholic red face. He clearly has no self control. He has a problem.. its called alcoholism
Really? Because he was drinking an NA cocktail, so…
Aaaaaaaamen!!!
are you saying Christians cant drink alcohol? the only religions i know that don't use alcohol are Buddhism and Islam. Jesus turned water to wine and they drank and we drink red wine as the blood of Jesus in communion
That's a fact
Nope, Christians CAN drink alcohol. As long as it's in moderation without getting drunk.
@@letsdrinkthink that's not true.
@lucaswhite3411 Sorry bud, you're wrong. The only instruction regarding alcohol is to not be a drunkard. Saying NO alcohol is just religious legalism. It's a matter of Christian liberty.
@@lucaswhite3411 the only religions i know that don't use alcohol are Buddhism and Islam Jesus turned water to wine and drank it and we drink red wine as the blood of Jesus i don't know where you got Christians cant drink from
Umm i think so, i think little girls being married to grown men at 3 years old is more unfair. Or the fact that Muslims want to slaughter every other religion and that theyre book tells them to
Do you want to marry and be the slave to whoever raped you? If not, go see a therapist. If no and you still think god is good, go see a therapist. Before you say I'm cherry picking, the bible is supposed to be perfect, so it doesn't matter if I cherry pick.
