Srila Prabhupada was the most wonderful person you could ever meet. He was 'always meek and mild with a warm and friendly smile.' Prabhupada went to America at the age of 69 when most people would be passing their time at home or in a holy dhama because his spiritual master, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur had given him the order to preach Krishna consciousness in the English-speaking countries. After suffering two heart attacks on a cargo ship, he reached New York via Boston. Lord Chaitanya’s message was soon to be spread ‘in every town and village’ in only twelve years. This channel is dedicated to remembering and immersing devotees in Srila Prabhupada’s transcendental pastimes. Listen to many of Srila Prabhupada’s disciples share their memories of His Divine Grace.

Who was Jay Gopal?
Just another devotee. Searching him up on the Srila Prabhupada's disciples database, I found he was initiated in LA in October 1968. He also seems to have been a sankirtan devotee in a city with fewer devotees. But, the main point here is Srila Prabhupada's humour and the way he had fun with his disciples. This is all extra research. When it comes to Srila Prabhupada's pastimes, sometimes unnecessary gossip enters. As devotees, we must make sure our focus remains on glorifying our most beloved spiritual master. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada!
