They really understate the energy problem. Making an armored suit fly through raw thrust would exhaust the best battery we could fit in a package that small in a matter of seconds. And no power source other than a battery can be that small in the first place. At the rate batteries have improved over the past hundred years, it's going to be several more centuries before we can fit that much energy in a space that small. Best case.

The repulsors are stabilised be the suit and in flight countered by little engines on his back.

I guess whoever did the research for this video hasn't heard of that one Russian (I'm guessing this) guy that has been building an Ironman suit in his garage.

In reality, however fancy and high tech your suite armor iron man suite is, a simple dumb artillery shell would cut into several hundred pieces on impact. So it would be cost prohibitively expensive to arm soldiers with iron man like suites which could easily be destroyed, jammed or hacked by the adversaries. Just imagine an iron man suite armed soldier gets stuck into his own suite by simple EW jamming or EMP strike by some Iranian force. Now this iron suite would effectively turn into a cramped jail cell or the coffin for the soldier operating it.

Well Tony is fictional and lot of what the suit can do literally makes you superhuman. None of us are superhuman.

I theorize 280 years from now, scientific technology might advance more, I assume once it does, then it might be possible to make a suit like IronMan’s suit. I also theorize genetic modification, might become possible, but I imagine only to a certain extent.

Because your basing the suit off a fossil fuel. The suit would need to incorporate maglev tech. The electromagnetic arc reactor would need to incorporate a form of solar & quartz crystalline ionisation process to power it's reactor. Just need to generate a wide enough electromagnetic field around the suit & then you can use the earths magnetic fields as superhighways. You would just need a way to accurately visualise the fields like birds & marine life. And a way of switching & locking into different geomagnetic co-ordinates. Quite possibly through the gauntlets like Starks plasma gauntlets. They could be used to manoeuvre. The problem is compressing it into a suit that's slim like iron man. Space Marine size would be more feasible. Kinda like those UFOs they keep saying are extraterrestrial & defy known laws of physics when really just harness the magnetic ones that encompass all of reality....ok good talk look to the skies 🕊️

I could see maybe pressurizing the suit to give it antigravity properties could help, (it wouldn’t completely help, but I think maybe for going upside down and certain positions it can help, especially if an inexperienced wearer were to try and do flips in the suit they’d puke.

I would it's not possible now but most of it maybe in the future.

So we would be better off runing an iron man suit on a mini nuclear powered energy cell.
