Making a Nuno Felting sample Sequence 01
What are the finished dimensions of the scarf? Just wondering the % of shrinkage you allow for. Thanks.
How gig you mordant the target, just alum? of did you use iron?
Thanks for this thorough tutorial! I will say you used an awful lot of plastic for an "eco"dye project
Do you leave net on? Thank you.
No You have to remove it or will get stuck .
I love your personality. I would watch a reality show that followed you around. ❤
Thank you . Maybe one day it will be one😀
Really I have a personality show about me ? Are you sure?
Hi. I’m watching this in 2034 and was looking for good instructions for wet or nuno felting on silk I cannot tell you how incredible your very detailed instructions are. Thanks so much, JacqueHranica
Thank you for your feedback! Glad that video helps you!
Fantastic, thank you.
Can you incorporate mulberry paper into wool?
Hi I never use it ,but assuming it’s natural fibers it’s possible. If I’m not sure about the results I usually make a sample.
Hi! Wonderful project! Thank you for sharing! I am wondering is there any specific reason why you are using polyester for the center? Can I use wool? Or it will get too dense? Thank you in advance!
Hi ,Thank you for a feedback ! Of course you use wool , I was trying to make this project more economical.
@@oksanafiberstudio got it, thanks! ❤️
Можно проложить блокиратор и вынуть сердцевину и сделать сумочку как у русских мастериц.
Хорошая идея ! Учту
Have you used this technique with any other fibres other than viscose?
I didn’t try yet . But I think it’s possible.
Very good video❤
Thank you
Очень красиво получилось.
Спасибо
This is so interesting and so beautiful and you;ve inspired me to give it a try as I learn nuno felting. I hope you won’t mind my saying through that if you make more videos to please leave out the music; it is so distracting.
Thank you for suggesting, I will try to make it softer.
Hermosoooooo !!! 😊🎉🎉🎉
Thank you , I can’t wait to have a go! 😊
Have fun!
What a beautiful scarf! Thank you for sharing this technique!
You are so welcome!
How do you separate the fibers, as you do in this video?
Hi I find it helpful to separate small amounts . I hope it helps.
Супер видео. Молодцы
Fabulous video! I love what you guys do with the children! Wish I could come.
What a fabulous video!
Hi did you dip the leaves in some solution?
Hi I left leaves overnight in warm madder solution.
13:58 before this part everything was working fine while I was doing this it looked amazing but everything got destroyed while washing it in the water so NOW i LOST a lot of material on this. So if there is any secret to succeed this, you should share because this did not work. 😒👎
Sorry about your negative experience. I would recommend starting with making Nuno Felting sample to get used to material first. I have a video How to make a Nuno Felted sample. It’s no secret you just have start with simple projects.Good luck!
Hello, what silk do you use? Thank you.
Did you ever try felting again, Susie?
Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching!
I just received over 20lbs of sheep‘s wool. I also have a beaver pelt that I’m going to be making mittens out of this winter. Your mittens video is how I’m going to fashion the inner liners, by felting the wool in that pattern. Question, one of the items you used is a “net.” By net do you mean window screen material or was it some other kind of netting? Great videos!
Window screen netting works perfectly for this project. :) you can also use Tulle or organza fabric if you can't find rolls of window screen rolls.
Screen net or organza fabric works great for this project. Thank you
Lovely! What are the dimensions of the plastic resist that you used?
Thank you ! The size of the plastic is 17x24”
Stunning work
Many thanks!
Well explained. I give it a try. Your scarf looks beautifull. 😍
I may have missed it, but what happened to your dyed silk in the felting process?? Thank you
It get absorbed by the wool fibers. Because silk is so light wool fibers connect with it .
thank you .very useful.
Thank you
Thankyou for this Nice video! 🙏
My pleasure 😊
Спасибо интепесно, но не знаю английский😀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Wonderful video! I've been wanting to try to make paper recently and this was very informative. Have you used any other bonding agents for the fibers? If so any pros and cons?
Thank you. I been using sugar water as well . I think it’s personal preference. Both options sugar and gelatin are non toxic and pretty clean to work with.
Thank you
absolutely beautiful. I would love to hear your recipe if you would care to share! I'm in the deep winter now so there is not much foliage around, but I could do rose petals!!
Thank you Rosie! I prepare my fabric in alum and use 10% iron solutions before Eco Printing.
Cool! 😍
It's a magic. Such things are good even for faires.
When did you layout the pink colored roving? I saw you layout 2 layers of gray only. Can you pls tell me the layout. I would like to order same color of roving and make this. It is beautiful.
Thank you for watching the movie! And sorry for late respond. In this scarf I was using some leftover of wool rowing from previous projects. This was an Italian wool from www.dhgshop.it/index_eng.php Because I use what was left it is no particular patron. But you can use any fine 19mcr wool rowing. In this case I only use a machine fo combining the wool (on low speed) but if you are more familiar with rolling your scarves you can do it too.
Do you not roll your scarves? Can I use only sander and not roll and get a great wet felted scarf?
This scarf is very thin so just using a sander on low speed works for me.
Nice and practical. Propely delivered. Thanks from the bottom of my heart 🥰
Nicely done and explained. Thank you ❤️ ever so much.
Thanks 👍 for video. Brilliant idea. A new life for leaves ☺️ and a new ecolife for the dress.
Looks easy and fun! I should definitely try it!
Спасибо за видео. Очень понятно и интересно Желаю приобрести много поклонников фелтинга
