Fiskars mower electric conversion.

A brief overview of my Fiskars electric conversion. Not a tutorial because your motor may be different. I used a 24v 100w motor for this project and it is completely reversible. I am running the motor on 18v batteries and it works fine, however a full 24v would add performance. I used the existing sprockets from the belt drive and just swapped positions. The large sprocket moved from the wheels...

look at us now lol voting for bullies
Kudos to Beck for having Penn as a guest.
If you want a christian scene at City Hall you would have to allow a satanic scene, a muslim scene, a pagan scene, etc. You would have to welcome all scenes.
Tks mate for shown this brilliant stuff ✌️☘️🇮🇪
Fucking engineers can't stop this shit
.... i'll just do it through the console
Ah yes, because a simple pushbutton on the dash wouldn’t dare be enough… It may not work in every case but that button sure does work great the 99% of times you use it.
Reason 12086 of why I refuse to work on anything newer than '14 or so I would love to know what dipshit engineer thought that was better than a simple cable system, and who in the DOT approved that trash, at least when I was in school, DOT regulation was a physical connection was needed for a parking brake in the event of an emergency
Because you dumb drivers never set the parking brake... Just jab it in Park and leave it...
Did this on a Tesla the other day bc it was dead and needed to be moved but the brakes were locked
They're making fixing your own car almost impossible... dirt bags...
Just put it in neutral.
😆
I’ve never had one retract enough to clear the new pads. If yours does, that’s a huge time saver.
What the fuck? Are you replacing pads every 5k miles?

As an American atheist, I support and defend everyone’s right to believe or to not believe in whatever they choose, free from discrimination and oppression. I do not, however, support someone using our government to impose their particular religious beliefs onto anyone against their will. If someone tells me that they can’t eat ice cream because their religion doesn’t allow it, that’s perfectly acceptable. But if someone tells me that I am not allowed to eat ice cream because their religion forbids it, then I have every right to tell them to go take a flying leap while publicly ridiculing and unrelentingly mock them and their fantastical delusion that our nation, somehow, only belongs to them and that our nation is no longer a secular republic based on democratic principles but rather some sort theocratic dictatorship that curiously aligns perfectly with the particular interpretation of their particular version of their particular denomination of their particular religion.
Tried this today and stripped set screw on rear sprocket. Thing would not budge!
It’s all metric fasteners, so if you were using an imperial wrench, it may not be a perfect fit. I would soak it in some sort of penetrating oil. If the correct size metric wrench won’t fit, you may also be able to use a slightly larger star bit and tap it in.
Can you please remake the video with more detail
Amazing, so clever, this give me an idea on how to modify locks ❤
Why Jillette "irks" so many true believers.
These ppl r so stuck on what the “creators” said they can’t think straight. It was the 1770s. Religion isn’t true bcuz the creators of constitution thot at the time it was. Things change after 250 yrs.good grief
Yeah, there’s big difference between being a Deist and a Christian. There is nothing Christian in the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence, and of course Thomas Jefferson had his Bible with all the references to Jesus being God-like and performing miracles crossed out.
Great interview.
i think i would rather just buy one already made by you
What would it take for you to make me one and ship it to me.
They called creator but didnt specify what the creator was
When Penn refers to people saying "God is good" it's important to understand the difference between the ancient eastern notion of that phrase, compared against our western notion. Because I think he would agree with the classical theist perspective. In the west, God happens to be the biggest being among beings. Who created with substance below him, in accordance to standards above him. In the east, saying "God is good" meant that God is goodness as such. God is not AN absolute being, but rather absolute being.
This is amazing. I need to start getting some better tools.
I attempted to make this and this process is very specific to that lock in the video. The locks I used were close to be identical. Creating the bottom half of the lock needs to be more clear. Repeating steps 1-3 will not create the same bottom half that you see in the video. I found that creating this lock cache was very difficult and required heavy duty tools, like a drill press.
Loved this video. Penn is 100% right.
I really like that morse taper collet, do you mind sharing a link?
I just want to purchase one but can’t find any.
I dont think some people get what Penn is trying to say, hes not justifying crimes like paedophilia or murder or any other atrocities that humans are capable of, and hes not saying that people can't have a religious or political view, what he's trying to say is public property (roads, pavements, bus stops etc that is classed as "public") should not be littered with religious and political propaganda because people aren't paying for that they're paying for a safe place to walk, drive their car, ride a bus etc so religion and politics shouldn't interfere with that. As for private property (schools, offices, homes etc which is either privately owned by a citizen or is federally funded) they can have all the religious and political propaganda they want in it as long as it doesn't offend people in the public area. As for crime and stuff he doesn't talk about that till the end of the video and it's just a passing comment saying he doesn't condone it but knows it happens but he can't judge the person doing it, that's not him saying crime is good or bad that is just him acknowledging it and saying that as long as it doesn't affect him or who he cares about then it is for the authorities to deal with not him or some sort of vigilante group. Read the meaning behind his intelligent words and understand he's being passive in the message he's stating which is religion and political affiliation should be a private thing for people and not pasted everywhere in town, republican, democrat, Christian or anything else isn't for others that don't believe in it to listen to so keep it to yourself or between you and like minded people, that's what he is saying, the idea of see no evil hear no evil and speak no evil applies here So as long as you have a view respectfully acknowledge people may disagree with you and understand that if they don't throw it in your face that you shouldn't throw it in their face either, it's just common decency.
Is Glen Beck a Mormon? Well, that explains his stupidity!
He's a born again Christian not a Mormon he just mentions them to make a point, though I agree Penn proved the difference in intelligence was far too great for Glenn beck which is why he kept back pedalling and trying to stop Penn in his tracks so he didn't look like the idiot he is.
Glenn Beck makes interviews hard to watch. Question asked either by him or audience, he MUST interupt.
So much inconsistency in the comments. Jefferson was a deist. Madison, Adams, and Washington were Christian. Paine was atheist.
I came here cause Jontron on thumbnail
idiots
Jesus Christ, the amount of spelling and grammatical errors in all the comments of people trying to sound intelligent is absolutely hilarious.
Penn Gillette thinks to hard.
All other aspects of being a Libertarian as put forth by Penn I agree with, but they all should be limited only to personal life, not in a capacity or designation. Otherwise it would become a slippery slope. That argument is just not tenable at all that don't take any government money and do entirely whatever the duck you want to. You are bound to use common property as like roads, Railways, oceans etc.. There is no any other way. What we can ensure is indivodual's maximum freedom in their personal lives. Imagine if tomorrow Penn goes to John Hopkins Hospital and coincidently the doctor out there is a Christian, which is very much possible and therefore denies to perform his duty to treat the patients by taking money odours on the grounds of being a christian. That model is just not at all workable.
I know for a fact that Glenn COMPLETELY ignored everything Penn said when trying to define atheism. It all must've gone completely over his head
I am an atheist and I never tell anyone to abandon their faith in god. I actually would fight for their right to believe in a god. Don't listen to fake atheists who say they are because they want to sound intelligent and want to cram their way of thinking down your throat. I would expect from intelligent theists not to try to convert me in return.
NO pharma. can NOT!!! do that, they are licensed by the state, and they have to follow the law!!! That's NOT a good analogy.
Exactly which “creator” do you think they were referring to?
I''m an Atheist and have had this conversation with christians . Their answer is simple . " Mob rule "
so according to Gillette you could have a Satanist for president , or a paedophile , or bigamist with multiple first ladies , the list goes on and on ,if he believes that you can be what ever, or do what ever you want ,we cant bully the individual ,im sorry there must be some type of conformity ,and harmony of beliefs ,otherwise you just end up with anarchy ,and confusion ,and that's where we are heading for confusion ,because we are making up the rules now as we go along , its opening a pandoras box of confusion because they don't want to follow the rule book , and that book is the word of god ,but people don't believe that anymore and that's why we are in trouble ,and it will get worse yet .
It's ironic that he is treating Atheism as a religion. He is arguing an idea - of the individual, removes the American system of government/presidency completely. Two hundred people vote for a cross to be placed on 'public' land but 'one' doesn't want that, it means they can't put the cross on public land. It says that because one person doesn't want Trump, you can't have Trump because one tax payer says no. So, basically, expand his argument as he is basing it on public/tax payers money. It creates a mini-society but at the same time neuters that society by giving one man power. That goes against the constitution. His argument falls apart because of that example. His explanation of Agnosticism/atheism does the same. The reason being, but expansion, if one person says there is no God, there is no God. Life, reality, society doesn't work that way. He's preaching Atheism whilst saying preaching is wrong. He says it's fine to have individual belief but that belief overpowers everyone. Reverse the idea, a town doesn't want a cross on public land but one person does. That means there should be a cross on public land. It removes the control of the majority. So, by removing the majority vote, you remove democracy so he is putting forward Anarchy. The 'I want to kill' argument against the Ten Commandments is interesting as there are more than Ten - the Ten are the foundation. But in that example the one who wants to kill can kill without punishment. Basically, his argument falls to pieces because he doesn't test it with the reverse view. If one person doesn't want it, it can't be allowed, but if one person does want it it can be allowed. That creates a power struggle that the individual can't win. The pharmacist won't dispense a medication - placing the pharmacist ahead of the Doctor, specialist etc. That means the pharmacist isn't doing their job and will either get sacked or go out of business. I hope this shows how his argument falls apart. I'm not attacking him personally, I am just demonstrating (by expansion and reversal - common philosophical practice) that his argument fails.
Penn isn't the best representative for Atheism. The phrase "god is good" does not necessitate the implication that there is a moral framework outside of the god. This is what's known as the Euthyphro Dilemma. Simply put as a question: is something good because god says it's good, or does god say it's good because it's already good? This is an argument explained through Socrates, by way of Plato. Christians will often say that anything their god does is good, which is how they justify the atrocities in the bible, and the apparent "natural" evil, and suffering, in the world. "It has to be good if god did it (or allowed it)". But then this means that they are saying slavery/genocide/etc is good. This gets them into trouble, because usually they don't actually agree with that. However, if you say that there is an objective moral standard outside of this god, then you are admitting that this god is not "all powerful", which people have backed off from in recent times anyway (now they say "maximally powerful"). This, then, leads to the requirement for Theists to demonstrate this "objective moral standard", though, they already believe in magic, so, as you might imagine, there isn't much there.
A nativity scene endorses one religion, even though that religion has thousands of sects.
Why would Beck feel like a dummy!? Oh, yeah, because he's a dummy...
Perhaps I'm being dense, & misapprehended Beck's assertion @ 1:10; but Paine deeply Christian? (Hitchens rolled over in his grave after that). He was a sexed up atheist, er I mean deist. "As to the book called the Bible, it is blasphemy to call it the word of God. It is a book of lies and contradictions, and a history of bad times and bad men. There are but a few good characters in the whole book." "The continually progressive change to which the meaning of words is subject, the want of a universal language which renders translation necessary, the errors to which translations are again subject, the mistakes of copyists and printers, together with the possibility of willful alteration, are themselves evidences that human language, whether in speech or print, cannot be the vehicle of the Word of God." "Of all the tyrannies that affect mankind, tyranny in religion is the worst; every other species of tyranny is limited to the world we live in; but this attempts to stride beyond the grave, and seeks to pursue us into eternity." - Thomas Paine
God is real. I prayed for him to get Trump out of office and he answered with Robert Mueller. Mueller is being used by God to rid America of the cancer called Trump.
Penn's statement that the nativity scene controversy is a conservative point is definitely true, in my opinion. I'm a believer and follower of Jesus, but I don't want the government promoting or infringing upon the rights of my religious beliefs...whether it represents Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. Penn is quite impressive!!!
