Christ came to establish His Church, not the Bible. Ours is the Word Made Flesh, faith and reason. Grace is our interaction with Him and His grace He gives us constantly. We are called to follow the Gospels faithfully. The Gospel of John, Christ responded that Scripture is not enough to gain eternal life, but the Bread of Heaven.

Russell says that Christians should not sign laws or support laws with things in them that God hates. Does he apply this legalism to every aspect of Government? So, a Christian could never be in any government position because every congressman, senator, mayor, governor, etc. has to sign laws with things that are contrary to the will of God. Protections for gender and sexual orientation, adoption issues, and all the worldly things there are so many settings things contrary to Gods word in our society because it is not a theocracy.

The Bible is only a snapshot of what God did. You cannot find whole truth about how much time elapsed during God's creation by those few words. Moses was trying to describe the vision God gave him about creation. Moses did not have knowledge of the universe, he did know little about the sun or the orbiting earth. Moses did his best to describe what he saw just like others in the Bible who tried to describe what they saw when God showed them visions. Obeying and worshipping God is the main point of the Bible. We do that by accepting the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins and loving Jesus enough to do everything He taught us. We may know someday all about creation but we may not know because it is not important to our salvation. Jesus is important to our salvation. God's ways are so far above our ways, our thinking, and our knowledge, that we must not even try to know what God knows.

Ever occurred to you that the debate is in part because of limitations of the English language? In my native Khmer language the word 'day' is ថ្ងៃ and in the Khmer Bible it has the unique unambiguous meaning of a 24 hour day. I'm going to forgive James White of the slip of thinking that he lived long enough to have written something in 1899. But he's right there are many Catholics who are trying to defend their faith and there are exceptions but most of the regular Catholics that I have met are extremely superstitious and they're very very Pious about their praying to marry it's not just that they pray to Mary you know every now and then it's a part of their regular way they worship. No spiritual leader is perfect or has it all figured out. I disagree with some things but I find myself agreeing with most things. What I can sincerely express regarding the demon slayers they are humble, spiritually sound & mature, they have a love for God’s people and the lost, you can see the Spirit flourishing in them they have good fruit without a doubt, their standard of living is very much aligned with scripture they walk the talk & it’s rare to see people in deliverance ministry that is so doctrinally sound they not whackey or weird. It’s rare to see people’s lives emulate the bible I can see that in all of them. Something Pastor Mike said regarding spiritual things “the higher & deeper you go spiritually with God the more simple you become as christian you end up praying more, fasting more, reading the word more etc” Their ministries have tremendously blessed me!!! I believe people misunderstand them and don’t take the time to listen to majority if not all of their content I see this happening a lot people are spiritually lazy, can’t think for themselves & love making assumptions.

It is very unfortunate ( and very common) that postmillenialism misrepresented as the obsolete "golden age" and literial 1000 years version. This version was enunciated by Jonathan Edwards about 1740. I don't know anyone who currently believes this any more. Modern postmillenialism is nearly identical to amillennialism, except for its optimistic outlook. In fact amillennialism (the new kid on the block) was a reaction to golden age postmillennialism. The Gospel has, in fact, changed the world for the better over the last 2000 years. Postmillenialism was the inspiration for William Carey. It is at the root of American optimism and was the dominant theology at America's founding. We have abandoned the mission. This is not just an academic issue. There is a sociology to eschatology which has effected the whole world. We are not done yet, and are not going anywhere. Jesus will not come until we completed the Great Commission (Matt 28:18-20), at the end of the Kingdom Age, Church Age, Gospel Age, Millennium. All the same time period. It was the embrace of pessimillennialism that has put us in our current failure mentality. Look at the victorious Christmas carols, pre1875, before pessimillennialism took over. Let's talk.

It seems that often when people bring up context being the key to interpreting what the scripture is revealing (in terms of study)- when it comes to Genesis what is the context? It’s Genesis - it is the basis of context for itself. In other words, although we have further revelations as scripture progresses, and it is to point to what came before as a shadow of what follows and arrives (pointing to Christ and redemption for us with the Lord)- Genesis is in of itself the only context that we start from- so we can’t go before it or after it to give it context. It is the context for everything that follows. From Genesis to revelation-all of it is proclaiming the Lord- and His relationship with us/His creation- for He is the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last- the One and True Holy God; our Creator and Saviour. The first verse is the context we go by - that it is God who created the heavens and the earth - that is where we start from when proceeding to study. So we need to approach scripture, and per this topic Genesis in particular, in His light- it is His Word- His story. He gave us the means to record and share it among each other in order to know Him, listen, and in order to answer to the adversaries question rightly when asked “did God say?” Therefore we can live by the Lord’s Word.

If you think of everything humans know about such as the cosmos, life with millions of species, eternal universe, etc, we know a lot! However mans knowledge is based on discovery of natural causes by scientific methods. It would be nice to have a real god but since everything in the universe has a cause, then what caused god? It is stated that God is eternal and knows all truth and who created everything. God always was and always will be. The question is is the universe god created or is it created by natural physical laws. The claims about god are magical, like being all knowing, eternally existing, etc etc. so did a god with unbelievable magical abilities create it all or was it natural phenomenon? Did god create everything in 6 days. And needed one day of rest!? Would a good god kill nearly all living things in a world flood? Makes no sense. Fairy tales are based on magical stories. I have been thinking about god for over 60 years asking people is there proof of god. The best answer is that God can do magic. Every human magician states that magic is all illusion based.
