On 16th the hole in ones and you throw you drinks is a tradition i didnt know but such a unique one for a sport crowd.

I just had my PGA Tour moment. I holed out for an Eagle on a Par 4 on the last hole of the round. I made good contact with a wedge in the fairway. I did it in a foursome and it was electric and exciting. I'm glad there was witnesses. One of the best and luckiest shots of my life. That was so cool seeing the ball land on the green then roll and drop in the hole.

People seem to think that the people who hate this hole and all the antics associated with are golf etiquette freaks. Or that we’re all saying how awful it is to disgrace the great game of golf. Well, I’m sure many hate it for those reasons but I hate it because I don’t like people throwing beer and food and who knows what else all over me. I mean look at those people who are mostly all adults, throwing beer, booze, sodas, nachos all over each other because a Tour pro got a hole in one. I mean if won a brand new car I wouldn’t act like that and these people are paying for the privilege to. It’s just mind boggling. Yeah and I’ve done stuff as stupid as that but it was in high school.

Hmmm. These are some pretty AMAZING shots. But one in a billion??? That would be a major exaggeration. One in 100,000 or maybe one in a million but if a person were to do a billion shots he would end up with a result pretty much the same more than one time.

That first hole in one crowd reaction is ridiculous. I have a hard time with all the cheering and such at Golf matches these days. This ain't football. But to throw beer cans and all kinds of crap on the course is BS. Just my opinion...

My once in a lifetime shot came on Oct 1st 1996! It was the Conference championship for the Jr College I was playing for as a freshman! 17th hole #1 ranked hole.. I had struggled all day but played strategy golf! I pulled my driver left and had a 160 yard shot up hill to a blind green/Pin. Horrible lie in the deep rough! I hit a punch 7 iron. Walked up to the green and there were no balls on the green. I thought I flew it over but then someone said there was a ball mark right in front of the flag stick. I 1 hopped it into the hold for a Eagle 2! Went on to win by 4 shots after playing safe on 18 and taking a easy par. 😊
