This topic is interesting, I see discord between black and mixed/light-skin women all the time and it always sounds like someone is blaming the other. I think that people like cardi b definitely rage bait and unfortunately black women run with it. I wish we could learn to stop blaming each other and learn how to work together as women.

Ok, let me try to clear this up for you all. At least 80% of the so called "blacks" in the US are of multi-mixed ancestry. Most American blacks have Caucasian/Asian/Native American/Hispanic/Jewish DNA inside them. It's the One Drop Rule that determined most were black back in the day. And like it or not, but that ODR type of mentality persists to this day. Most mixed race blacks ARE blacks in the eyes of every other race aside from blacks themselves. And a lot of blacks will see mixed race blacks as black people. It's just the extremely prejudiced ones that don't. But IF a mixed-race black is biased against black people, then they need to try to get with the people they identify with the most. Just don't go running back to blacks if they get that N-word wake up call.

I always get aggressive vibes in their beauty supply stores, it triggers their inferiority complex. If I could find east african owned or other owned stores...way less problems.

Unpopular opinion I need to take out of my chest. I consider myself as a brown skin girl and I have to say that, THEY HAD LIPGLOSSSSSS (a darkskik woman, a content creator on TikTok). She used to talk about issues in the black community towards black woman (especially dark skin) in general. How the black men will be first haters within the community not just outside the “race”, and other issues. And guess what? She got bullied away by the exact same people that probably wants more people to advocate for them. (And deleted her account, idk if she’s back online) My point is, some parts of the black community are not ready to hear to truth PLUS don’t take accountability of their behaviour or mindset. But are here to point out fingers if you don’t “advocate” or “acknowledge” their trauma. The work must also be done from within!!!! It’s just a thought I had while reading the Reddit comment, the person probably wanted some validation for educating herself (which is good for self-education), but like the rest of the black community you just point out fingers like they sinned for not caring their cross. They’ll be forgetting the part of FREE WILL. They be expecting so much, but not putting the efforts sometimes. Voilà, feel free to disagree, just my thoughts!

@@arielleloda3110 I agree with you 💯and Lipglosss is a great example. She was getting dragged and roasted for saying the quiet parts out loud. Also, part of American Black culture is a tendency to feel entitled to other people’s advocacy and play the victim when it’s time to acknowledge self inflicted trauma and take accountability for regressive behaviors and viewpoints. Thank you for sharing your insights✨💕

My black card was revoked when Kendrick Lamar’s diss track came out and this UDSB American woman told me that my Canadian self is no longer black and I can’t say the n -word anymore 😅. She argued with me that there’s no black people in Canada ( ignorant as f.) and to keep it quiet . Ironically she also calls herself an honorary East African when she’s around me and other East African women. Now if I ever say I’m not black ….girl the black lash 😂
