But knowing what has value and what does not, can be the difference in having a collection that is worth a lot of money and worth your time. And that is what we are trying to help every one with. We have seen scams and misinformation designed to lead the hobbyist away from their money, and due to the basic lack of good information available online there has been frustration all around and making it hard for the budding hobbyist to get a grasp on real information that can lead them in the right direction, we here at Currency Systems aim to change that, and with your help in watching these videos and commenting, liking and subscribing, the UA-cam algorithm will help promote these videos and bring this hobby to more and more people, making your collection more valuable,

What's your take on 4 unique digits? The black sheep of binaries and trinaries.
Missing your currency search videos RB GD
The black mark on the 2017A binary 2's and 0's is a teller stamp, they're NOT errors
Loving all these educational videos. Just ordered your book and looking forward to read it and share it on my channel. GD
How do you get federal reserve notes?
How do you get the federal reserve bricks? they are randomly at the banks, so if banks have to much cash, the sell it back to people like loomis and other money suppliers, and Loomis repackages it and sell it back to the banks, if loomis runs short of cash, they buy from the federal reserve, and that is where these packs come from, they are rare, here and there sort of a thing, that is why you don't see them all the time on the youtube channels, but they are fun when you run into them :)
@@currencysystems thank you for responding as well as making these videos 🌺🌹❤️🌷❤️🌹🌺
That extra ink is part of band stamp and considered damage and reduces the value.
Is there any extra value on the trinary you show at 3:59 with the serial number 60000690 because it is also a flipper GD
Thank you for information 🙏🌹🌺🌹🌷🙏🏽🌷🌹🌺 Beside sheet notes , I thought the serial numbers go up to 96000000 only!? Good work 🌹 keep doing what you are doing 🌺
How to try to sell on eBay and I just I need somebody to praise it and also to show me what everything is called you know I know what time are you mine and I get mixed up on but like the way of knowing that I know all about but I used to do it when I was a kid I wish
My experience: You either need to sell your notes for $20 or less or closer to $30. Because anything over $20 will cost you $4+ for shipping. So if you sell a note for $25 including shipping, you will be making almost the same amount as if you sold it for $20 including shipping.
Great information.
8s are NOT flippers !
Hello KC, it is good to meet you, there has been a ton of debate on this very issue, however after a ton of research, we think that the 8's, since they can be read either way are a part of the flipper family, but, we think this discussion is not at an end yet. currency.ha.com/itm/federal-reserve-notes/matching-radar-rotator-and-flipper-serial-number-11088011-fr-1938-e-f-2-2003a-federal-reserve-notes-pcgs-very-choice-ne/a/62250-94306.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515, americanrarities.com/us-paper-currency-information-paper-money-information/ , www.google.com/search?q=ebay%2C+flipper%2C+paper+currency&sca_esv=598195629&sxsrf=ACQVn09vJinfw1EzDaBM_sxztUu3DhMhFw%3A1705168222783&ei=Xs2iZb-YL67AkPIP086luAw&ved=0ahUKEwi_v83R9tqDAxUuIEQIHVNnCccQ4dUDCBA&uact=5&oq=ebay%2C+flipper%2C+paper+currency&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAiHWViYXksIGZsaXBwZXIsIHBhcGVyIGN1cnJlbmN5MggQABiABBiiBDIIEAAYiQUYogRIqQZQAFi7A3AAeACQAQCYAYQBoAG-A6oBAzEuM7gBA8gBAPgBAeIDBBgAIEE&sclient=gws-wiz-serp
@@currencysystemsif you look closely the bottom half of the 8 is bigger than the top! i realize times are changing though and just like how the trinary never use to be worth anything 5 years ago some are now worth $20 on ebay!
What do you think of this note ua-cam.com/users/shortsX_lwN_oLYMo
I have a couple Serial numbers that I was curious about, one being 19981111 and the other 18541234. Just wondering if they are more than just common.
Hello Collecting :) okay, the 19981111 is an INTL. Birthday note, Nov. 11 1998, these sell quick at around $10-$20 on Ebay, or if in a store, they can sell for around $40 in about six months. The other one, really does not have anything to it, might I suggest: www.ebay.com/itm/175874583164
Hi RB, I just wanted to say thank you for putting your wonderful book together. I purchased it about a month ago, and have really enjoyed it. Searching, is my favorite thing to do now. Looking forward to seeing if I can flip some killer purchases I’ve made, using the knowledge you have shared with the world. I’ve been saving star notes for years just because I knew they were collectible and then recently I saw the story on the news about the 2013 B project so that got me interested in it a little more and that’s how I found out about your book and I went looking through my collection and found out. I actually have one of those so I registered that note with the project, and looking forward to finding some more someday or maybe finding “the one”. 😊
Hi Collecting””””, sorry to hijack your thread! It was a momentary cloud of brain fog. 😂
What is the name of your eBay store
What happened?
The first 6:36 minutes is dark screen and no sound
Web notes don't need to be flipped to be identified. It's just as easy to look on the obverse for the missing plate location.
Hello Ren, you are absolutely correct, I just thought that explaining it this way would be easiest for the beginner without going into a mini lecture, lol, and your comment here will help those wanting to learn more, i thank you.
technically those were not flippers .. the ones dont flip and the 8s dont flip
Nice video which one you do better with teller or federal reserve straps
Heya MTMOP, I find that its a bit of a toss up, If you live in a small town and have run through the town supply, then Federal Reserve straps bring in fresh bills from across the country, if you live in a big town, then usually there is enough throuput of new bills to keep things fresh, and also knowing your banks helps, i have 2 banks near me that turn over about 1 brick a month, and there are 5 banks that burn through them every day, i hope that answers your question :)
Your an alright guy I'm subscribing Thanks!
Thank you so much John :)
One of my banks does that too. I pleaded with them the other day not to do that anymore because it damages the bills, I guess I find out next week.
yeah, I hit a few banks a week, for me it comes down to the teller, I too politely describe the damadge, sometime it works, sometimes....
@@currencysystems Absolutely, always be polite. The regulars I deal with know why & what I'm doing. Most even ask now if I found anything good. Have a good day.
Found a Quint, quad pair and a Barr note yesterday among a 1974 and 1981 that I didn't have in my collection. In the last month I've found 3 Barr notes.
That is freaking awesome, i do luv me them Barr notes :) Awesome !

I found a $50 and the # 10099100 is it worth any thing?
Looks like a trinary, Tri repeater, pairs and a 4OAK, i would expect about $10 Over Face Value, you can also get more info here : www.fancyserialnumber.com
Ive been doing best with tip money lately, my daughter started working in a restaurant i was buying her 1s and 5s. Now she is bringing me tip money from alot of the folks working there averaging a grand a week. Never know where you will find stuff to flip!!
I also work on the weekends in a place that does tons of tip money, it is amazing how much extra cash people are just unaware of, good for us :)
That is true, finds are everywhere.
Thanks again...always enjoy your videos
Glad you like them!
So nice of you, thanks.
I just read a book that said quads are more rare than trinaries. Yet quads aren’t worth anything. I agree that quads aren’t worth anything but why would something more common be worth more? Are you saying the box of 1500 trinaries I showed in my last video are worth $15,000? Don’t lose me.
I'm also concerned over the Trinary valuation on this channel.
Heya man, i have been watching ebay lately and there has been a surge in trinaries for some reason, why? IDK, but trinaries are starting to go for around $5-$10, and as for the quads, i developed a program that counts all combinations of FSNs. In 100Million notes, a (CS~200) Quad M x4444xxx M has a recurrence of 328,050, where a Trinary (CS~940) M 12332123 M has a recurrence of 695,220, so a quad is rarer than a trinary, for completeness a 4 OAK(Of A Kind)(CS~190) has a reccurrence of 4,093,290, so, not rare at all. and as for pricing, collectors want what they want, and for the most part I think that people are just running off what other people say is rare and cool, and right now I think trinaries are getting alot of fanfare, and that is why the book exsists to help people understand what is rarer than something else. And as far as me speaking on these videos, i should remember to bring my A game, because people like are watching, and that is awesome :)
@@currencysystems There has been a surge because people keep saying they are worth something. You and I both know my box is worth face value. No dealer in the country will pay more than face value. If I’m wrong, please tell me who and they can have my box for half of their quoted value. I was referring to your book. If we focus on teaching people how rare or how common something is, the value is obvious. Your book finally lets people see exactly how rare or common a note really is. That’s where you should focus. What better way to generate more sales then by using the unique and unchanging facts you have researched in your book. Prices always fluctuate. But the rarity is constant, especially the way you laid it out.
I find I do better with local back straps. But I'll take whatever I can get around here. There have been 2 banks around here that did away with tellers, and they will not order coins or bills. If this is the future were in trouble.
Oh, that is harsh, i would go nuts if all of the tellers in my area dissapeared, and will not let you order any in, wow.
only 0 6 9 are flipper numbers 1 and 8 are Not
Hello Kilgore, I have found that there are many that would take your side in a split second, I have also found others that would..well. Knowing that there was a ton of contention on this specific issue, We not only looked at what PCGS, PMG, ANA, and well, a ton more, not only here in the US, Canada and Mexico, but abroad, the final place we arrived at (and we could still be wrong on this) was the following : Flippers (CS~1020) can be read upside down and can contain 0, 1, 6. 8 & 9, A Rotator (CS~1090) must be read the same upside down as when it was read right side up and may contain 0, 1, 6, 8 & 9. A Tetradict (CS~1160) must be read the same Right side up & Right side down as well front to back and can only contain 0, 1 & 8. there does appear to be some confusion in the differences between flippers and rotators and what they are, however, we believe that if it can be read the same up and down, they are valid. I would truly love to hear what you have to say in this matter, because at the end of the day, it is the community that decides, and you are a part of this community :).
Iam enjoying your book good read I started collecting one dollar bills 7 months ago and loving it there are so many ways to collect them advice collect what you like.
That is awesome!
At the risk of sounding as ignorant as I actually am regarding this subject matter, I have to ask, “what exactly is a gas pump”?
Maybe you remember the old gas pumps of the 60's and 70's? if not google images, anyways, when you would stop pumping you gas, the last digit would never be even with the others, it would be a bit higher or lower, when looking at a serial number, if one of the digits is higher or lower than the rest, it is called a gas pump error, and it can be any of the digits, but more often it is the last digit, hope this helps :)
@@currencysystems Thank you. I definitely remember the gas pumps from that era, but for the sake of my ignorance, would you mind typing out an example for me? Are we talking a printing error? For example, when an old school typewriter types the F a teensy bit higher or lower than the rest of the letters? Just looking for clarification. Of course, I suppose I could Google it. 🤣
@@currencysystems Aha!!! I just googled it. I see what you are saying. Excellent!! Thank you so much!!
@@clairebeane3455 Yeah, Claire, that's pretty much it :) You got this...
@@currencysystems Aww, thanks. I’m a pretty quick learn. Having Google at my fingertips doesn’t hurt. 😏

Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for the info on these ebay sales. I have a few fancy serial (star) notes that I need to make a few $$$ with but I have to learn how ebay works, to get them listed, first. My having nothing but a phone to work with, and not knowing it's functions, makes it somewhat difficult.🙂. Anyway, I'm glad to see your newer vids are coming out.👍 Have a good one.✌
my first suggestion for selling on ebay would be, watch about 10 ebay scammer vidoes first, after that, watch how to setup a store on ebay, good luck :)
@@currencysystems I'll do that, Thank you.👍
Good afternoon to you, & I hope your having a great weekend. Really, do enjoy your videos, some of your terminology and descriptions are very new to me, I’ve yet to hear it called in those words/ sentences. I’ve been at this passion of mine for a good six years wished I would have been doing this at 8 yrs. old. Didn’t really know of it or what it curtailed until a UA-cam video appeared before me, & I was hooked, I love history to begin with and there’s a lot of history in currency as I’m sure you are well aware of. I’m going to ask two questions to you and see if you have answers. First, being taught at an early age how to write the date, month & year. Therefore, It was (for example) like the right way to say July 14, 1962… month, date followed by year. So my 1st question is I see all kinds of birthday notes, some of them do as I do myself then others are backwards, or the date 1st followed by the year and then the month, or the year 1st, then next the month followed by the date. It’s every which way someone can squeeze a number and say hey I have a birthday note for sale. And some people, I really like these one’s it’s every which way and then they have a extra number in there so called anniversary, birthday, graduation, history date ect. note. What is the correct standard for a note’s numbers to correlate the proper way to have a birthday, graduation ect.note. Month, Date, & Yr.? Some inside from you would be great. And for the second question I say a time out period, I’m getting carpal tunnel from typing, just kidding, but you probably could use a intermission before, part two begins. I’ll send the later out to you, at some point later today, thanks. And it being the weekend I don’t expect an answer today on the first part. However, it works in your time period; again thank you. Heya Charlie, yes, there are three basic tyes of dates on the notes 1) (US) MM/DD/YYYY 2)(EU) DD/MM/YYYY 3)(INTL) YYYY/MM/DD, and not included in this video is "Reverse" date notes, where if you can figure out that they are reversed like "M 12251967 M (christmas 67) would come out like M 76915221 M so the numbers are reversed, but for the most part on online auction sites if someone can find a year, month and day in the note, they will try to sell it, but we have found that on the three types of date (Above) actually bring the roughly $40 price tag. on the whole, CS!Date notes are for the most part "Eye of the beholder" when it comes to demand. Charlie, i hope i have answered your question, and you, please, have an awesome day as well :)
Modern series of banknotes only have print runs to 96 million, doubtful anyone is finding solid 9's
You are absolutely correct, darn LEPE system.
Those high numbers are very hard to find
Heya Hodge, to the best of my knowledge, they are still using the COPE-PAK system, this is the 32 noe machine that goes to 99,999,999, the new LEPE system is the 50 note variety, and that one only prints to 96,000,000, for the most part i think they have moved anything above a $2 bill to the LEPE, but are still using the COPE-PAK for the $1s and the $2s, but very soon i fear they drop the old, for the new, so get them while you can, as you are right, they are going extinct.
Very, they were rare to beging with, and now it is only harder, and soon...no more :(
