Thank you, it was very helpful, mine arrived today. But I must say I am shocked about the complexity of cleaning. My old normal catlitter is so much easier to clean, I bought this one because I am often very sick and thought this would help me save energy and time when cleaning the litter, but the big clean is much more work with heavier parts wich I won't be able to lift and clean at bad times.

Doctor just prescribed oxybutynin to me and im about to try it out. My social life is at stake because of excess sweating. Got fired from my 1st job because no one wants to come to their workplace and find it stinking from one particular person 😢😢😢😢. Thought I've been cursed 😢

It's been for me since 2017. My thigh is still numb and hypersensitive. I still have drop foot an my toes are still curled down. I have sharp stabbing pain that continues to go down my thigh, leg to my toe . I wasnever told any of this could happen after Pao with arthroscopic combination surgery. I'm going in for my 3rd hip surgery in a few weeks because again, I have a labral tear. So I'm thankful that all this happened to someone else because my neurologist at mayo clinic said all this pain is in my head and doesn't happen with this surgery. Ha

I just had my secound PAO corrective surgery end of March of this year. Also had the screws removed from the opposite hip that was also done. Im two months into my surgery and already walking

With the Gentle Fluidity Gold I had heard there was something about the dye in it they had to change, used to turn kind of gold and the newer ones turn purple

How soon were you back walking? I might be getting this surgery this summer and might be around the time I go to college

I've ordered twice from ScentSplit. The first time, there were no issues, although they are slow to ship and on the expensive side. On my second order, the package was not delivered. After submitting a successful claim with UPS, ScentSplit has gone radio silent on me. It seems they are happy to take your money, but when an issue arises, they are nowhere to be found. Somehow, they are finding plenty of time to post on Twitter and other social media. I guess if they have time to post online, so do I. Do not shop with ScentSplit, as they have terrible customer service. If things go right, you might be okay, but I'm out several hundred dollars at the moment. Don't be like me. Just use someone else.

Thanks so much for this. I just found out I have hip dysplasia and it came as a huge shock; going in for a routine docs appointment and being told you need life-changing surgery with a huge recovery time is intense!!! This has really helped.

The litter level feature can be activated by hitting ok twice after it finishes with maintenance mode. It will beep to indicate it is calibrated

Great video! Wow yours didn't come with the clear clear litter cleaner?? Mine came with it. I assumed it was standard on all of them. I live in a condo so I can't clean it outside and I don't really want to do that 14:33 in my main bathtub , and I'm fortunate to have two bathrooms which one holds the cat box, but the faucets broken and I have to have it repaired. I have not taken it apart yet. But I need to figure out how cuz I know it's getting yucky on the bottom and I've been wiping it as it cleans on the bottom outside. I am using Crystal litter which I started using a little bit before I got my pet kit because they were tracking the lightweight clay litter I was using around it too much. It's pretty good but I feel like I have to fully dump the litter more often. Maybe I will try some wood pellets. I have been sprinkling some baking soda on the bottom after cleaning to try and help keep it a little drier and from the litter clumping and sticking.

What cat litter do you use?

My son is 17 and scheduled to have this surgery at the end of August. He also has CMT and his surgeon said the PAO should give him 10 to 15 years before he will need hip replacement. I am now wondering if it makes sense to do this extremely invasive surgery to avoid hip replacement now. When hip replacement is so much less invasive and would also need to be revised in 10 to 15 years? Don’t have an opinion on that? Just curious. Thanks!

Thanks for the video! Why did you finally make the decision to get PAO? What was your life like before? I got diagnosed this week with hip dysplasia. I've had issues with my hips, knees, and lower back since i was 18, but I'm not in pain daily. More like discomfort. Also I can't sit too much, or do certain sports, or stand too much😅 unsure if i should do it now cause like i said I'm not in pain, it's mote just annoying and I'm limited.

Thank you so much for making this video. I'm considering PAO and am completely terrified of the recovery so this was helpful to feel more prepared. How long in total did it take for you to be back to full functioning (or at least as functional as you were pre-surgery)? My doc said 3 months but that seems fast. I paint murals and need to plan how long until I can climb ladders/scaffolding, stand for long periods, squat, etc. Again thanks so much for this video!

I have hip dysplasia too and had a full left hip replacement at 35 (I week before 36) after 20 years of chronic pain. It felt "drastic" but I'm very glad I did it. Best of luck with your recovery!

Samantha, I am an anesthesiologist who does the anesthetics for these PAO surgeries at my facility. I am so glad you shared these points. May I ask what technique was utilized to try and help you in the initial recovery phase? We are now using a specialty catheter in the groin that instills numbing medicine for several days. That seems to be working really well.
