Adventures in the Woods is a single movement work featuring Flute, Bb Clarinet, and Bassoon. The piece invites the audience to embark on a trip through the woods and the wonders that might hiding there. Each instrument has soloistic opportunities, showing their individual journeys. The piece features exciting fast themes and soft slow motives, showing the range of emotions felt through a long voyage. Ultimately, after a long journey, the piece returns home just as a person might after an exciting adventure in the woods.
