So how does he create the distorted voice sound on the second verse after he throws the megaphone down? Sounds like a pre-recorded vocal track to me.

They are one of the most under-appreciated American bands, imho. Bubblegum-sweet-beach meets Lou Reed-heroin-dark. I saw then open for the Pumpkins in '97 and it was great.

I was at this show too. I feel Jackson Brownes part of the show was a letdown. This cover of Melissa was terrible. Steve Winwood was fantastic, high energy & a fabulous choice of songs.

Thanks for posting. Show was good but our seats were at the top of the lower level. We couldn't hear the lyrics to any song. As I can see, with better seats, you could actually hear the lyrics.

I think it is very telling that no other HOFr's or any of Frey's contemporaries performed in tribute to him. He deserved a horrible tribute as he was a well-known asshole and Crow ruining this song like everything else touches was just what Frey deserved.
