Its all comes down to generational wealth and our people keep giving theirs away instead of trying to build it. Africans are intelligent people they just don't think of the bigger picture.

The greatest challenge is that some white colored people are having black ancestors and this causes confusion among those who don't know. Ok, consider Kelvin Prince Boateng for instance, if his descendants stay outside for a long time and begin to have white color and the moment comes and want to return, it can create confusion. Again , in the blessed memory of the late Ghanaians footballer Cristian Atsu, if in future if his descendants wants to return, similar questions will arise but the reality is that they are still people who will have to prove that they are indeed Ghanaians.Similar is those guys who were given the citizenship. In the first place, citizenship is granted to foreigners in Ghana on the daily basis and this practice has been place since the era of Dr Nkrumah. People apply for citizenship and they are required to meet the criteria before they are issued with the nationality documents. And these includes a minimum of five (5) years continuous stay in the country. Of course, there are exceptions to this because there are other pathways which could be shorter in duration. Majority of these foreigners were born in Ghana. Their parents have been in the country for many decades and owns considerable businesses in Ghana. Many of them are labenese, indians, arabs and majority of them speak the Ghanaian languages fluently. It is social media that is making it seems as if it a new development. You can apply today and when you meet the requirements which includes tax obligations, yearly renewal of residency status and the minimum required continuous stay in the country. Remember, that if the video was not put out there nobody would have known that something like this was going on in the country. On the average, fifty (50) foreigners receive their citizenship in Ghana on weekly basis. And it is an open policy for all people in the world. That was the anchor of the foreign policy of Dr Nkrumah government in the 1950s. So the movement started from that era. So there is cause of alarm at all and there are policies that protect the integrity of the sovereign will of masses.
